Because there’s unfortunately a significantly large population of hateful idiots that believe vote red no matter who. Even if it’s against their own self interest. They are brain washed sheep.
I think he's talking about the censoring of misinformation. There was some effort to censor misinformation on social media platforms during Covid since dangerous conspiracy theories were running rampant. But, dangerous baseless conspiracy theories are really popular for a certain type.
They’re so full of shit. It’s misinformation to limit harmful misinformation during a public health crisis but crickets when the president imprisons and deports students using masked plainclothes ICE officers just for sharing peaceful opinions in support of Palestine. Which is more nazi-like? 🤔
Y'all didn't vote for Sandeep what do you expect? I don't like Dems myself but I've met this guy in person. Spewing BS like it's his native tongue. 0 facts, 100% BS. I'd vote for the other guy... Any other guy.
He's not that bad to be honest, if you've spoken to him directly. One of the better Dems. Then again, he's not in power yet so I don't know what he'll turn in to if he wins so don't hold me accountable here, just relaying my experience.
He doesn’t try. He had no campaign to speak of and didn’t try to appeal to voters. That’s not how you win an election, it’s how you tell people at dinner parties you ran for congress.
Hmm. Can you give me some couple actionable points for improvement? I'm sure I'll happen upon him at some point and I'll share it with him. I'm not sure if he'll run again but looks like he goes unopposed in Dem primaries.
I contributed to Sandeep when he ran in 2022 and went to his campaign kickoff. He had a lot of support from the Asian community, primarily Indian, at the kickoff, but little other support at that event. That's not a recipe for victory in this district. It's important support, but can't be the only support. There was also little cross-pollination of events with other Democrats. The election in 2022 was also more winnable, as it ended up being an open seat. For better or worse, Keith Self is now running as the incumbent. For those reasons, I did not contribute to him in 2024.
I think this district was going to be difficult to win for a Democrat, and it was hard to get an existing Democrat to run, and it wasn't the place where local, state, or national funding was going to be spent, as that's reserved for more winnable seats. These are obstacles for any Democrat running for this seat. It's also been gerrymandered to reduce the probability of a Democratic victory. Whether the recent events will pull enough support away from Keith Self for a Democrat to win is unclear.
I’m on all the lists. I get campaign comms and contacts from all manner of democrats, nothing from Sandeep specifically. If there’s no turnout or fundraising strategy that’s touching me (high propensity dem voter/contributor) then I highly doubt he’s getting any kind of traction. Maybe he’s a wealthy self funder that’s running a very targeted campaign which hits niche persuadable and low propensity voters on Korean skin care YouTube channels but I doubt that. Seems more like a placeholder to say we ran a D if you’re not out beating the bushes. I bet Dems in district 3 gave more to Amy McGrath than they did to Sandeep.
District 3 (especially with the latest gerrymander) is a steep climb but I’d love a candidate that looked like they were trying to win.
I’m sure this is true but 2018-2020 show that Collin county has shifted blue since the 2000s. Bc of redistricting CC got split into 3 districts that feed into extremely rural areas. No reason I should be in the same district as Anna residents but I am.
Apparently my district extends as far as it does bc of Van Taylor’s address being all the way in Annn..only for him to be forced to step down like a year later 🤦
By gerrymandering (redrawing district lines to include more of the white population). Plano was nearly 50% R - 50% D (which I liked) until they extended the district lines into NE Collin county to get more of the white population. That shifted the balance to Republicans and even a far-right candidate could get easily elected.
Maybe it’s just cope but if the DNC can field a decent candidate I can see Self being in a lot of trouble this time next year. 15 point swing in the special election in FL this week. It’s possible…
He’s not quoting him in a favorable light. He’s pointing out that an evil regime like nausea. Germany was a big fan of controlling the media, just like the Biden administration.
Elmo has a tantrum when he hears a critique. That blonde with jesus bling does nothing but lie and presents bs as truth. Our current nazi dictator is nothing but media manipulation. You say Biden did this?
No. the people’s opinion does NOT belong to any state. If he is quoting Hitler in that fashion then he has failed to evolve and failing his constituents 🌞

Plano and Collin County in general are red. Most people don't care about the candidate, they just care about the big R or D next to it.
