I don’t understand the constant posts about Bernie. He is ideologically opposed to libertarianism but isn’t a major name pushing anything in the government and isn’t even liked by the democratic establishment. It feels like picking on the smallest kid in class.
Bro Trump hasnt even attempted a single normal process for new legislation. Hes completely ignoring the Judicial and Legislative branch, what makes you think hes going to use the process of amendments to get what he wants?
Dude is speed running dictatorial capture. And if his dipshit supporters are on board, the laws on the books dont reaply matter.
Last i checked a felon cannot run for president. Yet here we are with a felon as president.
Sure, but some of that might have to do with public sentiment (driving the actions of senators and congressmen).
Only the most staunch Trump supporters would ever be for amending the constitution for a thrid term... I bet that is way less that 10% of the voting public. It might be that %52 of the voting public voted for him, but waaaaaaaay less people would be comfortable modifying the constitution. Even if they wanted Trump-for-life, they would fear the next Democrat in office exceeding the 2 term max. The juice isn't worth the squeeze as my friend says.
That's kind of what im getting at, He will put himself on the ballot for a 3rd term, without changing the constitution, and trumpers will be none the wiser and vote for him again, he didn't have to chage the constitution to run as a criminal, despite that people may disagree, he was found in front of a jury to be guilty.
He is preparing his supporters to be okay with a 3rd termright now, its the same strategy he used when he claimed the election was stolen months before the votes were even being cast.
Its his strategy to preppare and normalize the batshit cazy stuff hes doing so people are exhausted from media reports about it and he just rams his way through without using any of the processes the governemnt has to perform these actions.
If Trump tries to run for a 3rd term, Obama should try to run against him. And no Trumper should have a single issue with that.
Trump reads a script and does what he is told. I know it's hard for muppet life to understand this, but you have been played. They are all in on the same ticket. The idea you think Trump is anything but a golfer and actor in the white house is fucking hilarious. It's like you kids are still 15 or something and don't understand what happened to the US in the last 120 years.
How about being concerned about our actual real life fish population, health and diversity?
Tell me more about teaching someone how to fish.
Explain how Capitalism will solve those problems effectively… and how it is hasn’t created the issues… if you have answers then please for fucks sake, go do it. Go solve it.
Humans of every government and economic system have contributed to destroying the planet, this is not a problem exclusive to capitalism. By far the most destructive force on our environment is animal agriculture, which contributes over 50% of CO2 emissions globally as well as over 50% of global habitat destruction (that means it contributes more than every other sector combined). Humans started practicing this long before capitalism was even a concept. I will agree that capitalism doesnt help the problem at all but it is not the root cause
Human population is collapsing as more women become educated and say no to having children. It's already crashing around the Pacific Rim and in Europe. The holdouts are places with religious fundamentalism. I doubt they're a threat to fisheries.
The reason fish are threatened is simply the Tragedy of the Commons, a very anti-capitalist system. If we owned fish like we owned cattle, the world would be buried in their manure and we'd be demanding that people stop eating them for the sake of climate change.
What part of a biodiversity crisis isn’t your problem?
Or, is it, that you are free to make problems for others, and of course still not owe?
Or, perhaps, Libertarians don’t exist to solve any problem whatsoever. Just a bunch of bubble people who pass the time by observing the problems of others at a safe distance whilst smelling their own righteous bubble farts.
What is YOUR problem? Care to come join the party and claim any of the big ones?
Is there any politician in office or on a ballot anywhere, that isn’t guilty of this?
I don’t like Bernie but at least he’s motivated by a sense of caring for others, albeit in an ineffective way, rather than pure malice and/or personal greed.
If someone’s gonna take my fish I’d rather it feed my neighbor than go to Israel
The thing about capitalism vs other forms of government: Capitalism relies upon the desire of each person to have 'more'. More for themselves, more for their families. People put in effort to achieve their goals. It's not perfect, but currently the best IMO.
If people get many things for free, and they are not required to work, many will choose not to work. Humans in general are efficiency experts: 'let's figure out the least effort I have to put in to achieve my goal'.
That efficiency is good in business, not so good when expecting handouts.

Meh, I wouldn't worry about that. There is no way Trump would ever get the votes to amend the constitution to allow a 3rd term.
