Navigation apps, what do you like?

I'm on iOS is that makes a difference. Also, why do you like it? Have instrumentation on the sailboat, but stuff happens, and would like a solid backup on my phone. I will not be near a cell tower, for about a week, so it will need to work with GPS.
Thanks

I second Navionics “boating” app. It is subscription based, but the yearly subscription is incredibly reasonable. It’s what I use primarily for plotting and following courses as well as finding good anchorages, marinas, etc., since my raymarine chart plotter is a nightmare for that.

can you use your iPhone or do you need Garmin hardware?
