Haven't used them lately, but I bought several of the ventilator pelican cases from Repurposed during the coof wind down and they're great. I'll be grabbing one of these too.
If my math is right, the interior dimensions of this yellow box is roughly the same as 9.3 50cal ammo cans. Assuming each ammo can holds 900 rounds of 5.56, that means this yellow box should be able to hold over 8,300 rounds of 5.56.
Thanks for the information. I found other sources that claim that 1200 rounds of loose 5.56 can fit in a 50 cal can. I assume that you were discussing possibly boxed 5.56 but I'm not sure whether or not I could fit that 900 rounds of boxed 5.56 in a 50 cal can. Some claim the handle broke off their made in China or Vietnam steel 50 cal cans once filled with loose ammo. Someone else is welcome to the calculation but I suspect 8,000 or more rounds of 556 in a tany container would mean that I'm not going to be able to lift it.
I think this is the cheapest they’ve been. Strongly considering buying a third to hold kit and gun stuff. Bought the other two thinking I’d use them for that but they wound up filled with camping gear.
Both mine look like new and are very sturdy. A step up from the HF Apache cases IMO and definitely a more practical size for storing kit than any of the HF options.
Do you know how well these would do in a dye process? Not that yellow isn't fabulous but some diverse daring colors like... black, might endear my heart closer to my wallet.

These are solid. The pics don't really convey how bright the yellow is.
Bo-vice@reddit
damn this seems like a really solid sized case for the price. Idk what I'd use it for, but its tempting

I have one of these to store belts and chest rigs and stuff. It works great and I’m a huge fan!!

Will this protect my canned peaches and tactical bacon?

I would need to taste test those items to be sure. Can’t be too careful ;)

These are great quality!!! I bought three of them.
I use one to keep sealed food etc at my cabin so that nothing gets into them if I'm not there for a few months.
The other is in the back of my wife's SUV as an organizer for things like paper towels, tire inflator, med kit, water bottles, etc...
The 3rd one I use for random ammunition that I store in a garage closet.
ChemistIndependent19@reddit
Would you say they are Pelican quality or Harbor Freight Apache like quality?
Airbus320Driver@reddit
I'd say in between, very rugged and well built. No seams or molding marks like the HF ones.

Closer to Pelican

Anyone knows if wheels and/or a handle for carting this around an be added?
dead-eye-blaze223@reddit
Bought one last time, I love it. I wish it came with foam through, any leads on where I can get that quantity of foam without breaking the bank?
BaconFatBody@reddit
would this be good for storing 5k rounds of 5.56 ammo long term?

Yeah 8k+ rounds would be over 200 pounds. No way that thing is going to be moving around at all.

Do you know how wide of a shackle diameter can be used for to lock it for the 2 locking spots?
joeg26reddit@reddit
gah- if you only had one just a little larger that would have at least 28" diagonal internal measure?

No, this is the first time they've gotten a dealer account. The rest have been users posting it.
