Libertarian vehicles? (Seatbelt warning)

Yes. Yes. I know I should always wear my seatbelt. But the libertarian streak in me absolutely HATES when the vehicle "reminds" me that I'm unbuckled.
I have a 2022 Ram. The only intrusion is a small warning light on the dash display. It doesn't even blink. Just a solid red. And no chime or alarm either. Well done Stellantis.
I was in a rental car a few months ago (can't remember what it was). That thing was practically screaming at me after 10 seconds of driving unbuckled. I hated it.
Dear car companies and/or government bureaucrats, leave me be.
Is your car a libertarian or a nanny? ;-)

I have a mutt of a Ford Model T, 1915 frame, 1926 roadster truck body, Honda motorcycle engine and a 1928 front suspension with 1942 mercury brakes. No doors, no windshield, no seat belts, absolutely nothing it doesn't need to stop and go.

My 2001 f150 has a light that comes on for about 30 seconds then goes away. Hypothetically, one could drive it without hearing the ding. My FIL also has a 2007 gmc dually 3500 that doesn’t ding.

They make seatbelt inserts that trick your car into thinking one is in place.

Depending on which way the switch goes, you can just unplug. On my old truck, closed circuit means not buckled, and it gives an incoming missile warning..
Beepbeepbeepbeep.
Unplugged means open circuit all the time 😀

Even worse: my wife’s car warns me when the temperature drops close to freezing, and also every time I turn it the car off to “not forget things in the backseat”. And I can’t turn these alerts off. We live in the Northeast, so anytime I drive her car, I get at least 4 annoying, loud, beeps. Just leave me be.

Move to New Hampshire (most libertarian state) and you don’t have to wear a seat belt. The fact that in other state the government can ticket you for this is ridiculous.
