Are there any Six Flags-like amusement parks in the UK?

Been wondering this as those things are everywhere in the States but the amusement park sector in the UK seems awfully quiet in comparison. I know Universal are planning their one so that'll be interesting but the UK at the moment just seems to be a lot of small family parks more than anything else.

Universal Studios are currently in consultation about building a theme park near to Bedford.
Currently Alton Towers is the nearest to a 'Six Flags' experience in terms of both of the number of rides and area.
Alton Towers is unusually large for the standards of British theme parks.

Not of the same size, which is a shame as I'm a big fan of rollercoasters

Theme parks are an absolute nightmare to build in the UK. Accessible land near population centres is desperately needed for housing/commercial/infrastructure.
That said, the few that do exist get a lot of visitors and have large budgets. A lot of the rides are world class.

Thorpe Park and Alton Towers are about as close as you can get to that.

Not on the same scale as the top tier US parks however the country is also much smaller so comparing to say Magic Mountain or Cedar Point may be unfair. I don't think there's an equivalent of the Florida parks anywhere in the world as they've managed to make themselves the family holiday destination for a massive population. There's Sentosa in Singapore but it's really not the same scale, I guess the closest thing to the Florida parks may be Dubai.

Nothing to the size of your parks no. Alton Towers and Thorpe park are the closest equivalents here.
