ULPT Request: Get upstairs neighbor to move out

I live in an apartment complex and the family that lives directly above us has a new baby and a dog. In addition to them stomping at all hours of the day, their parents are also stomping very loudly. The leasing office has not done anything about this so hoping we can find a way to get them out, without it being super obvious that it was us.

If you can prove that you’ve tried all reasonable avenues (talking to the directly, talking to landlord, calling police, etc), you might talk to a tenancy lawyer about sending them a cease and desist for harassment and then taking them to small claims court if the noise doesn’t stop. You’re entitled to “quiet enjoyment” of your home and a lawyer might be able to give you some options.

That's insane. There is no way that law suit goes anywhere and will cost the OP money... Suing someone for normal daily activities? Really?
ZombieAbeVigoda@reddit
If you can’t have “quiet enjoyment” of your property then yes, suing someone is certainly an option
Neeneehill@reddit
Quiet enjoyment means you are allowed to enjoy your home while being quiet. Not that you are guaranteed that your neighbors will be quiet
ZombieAbeVigoda@reddit
“Quiet enjoyment is the right to inhabit or use certain property without disturbance. This term is most frequently used in property law , where the right to quiet enjoyment protects tenants from intrusions and guarantees certain basic necessities of a home. Moreover, in states such as California, quiet enjoyment protects tenants from not only landlords personally, but neighbors under the landlord as well.”
That’s how Cornell Law School defines quiet enjoyment, but more generally that’s how it’s legally defined in a lot of states. Maybe next time do an ounce of research before being an asshole? I swear, some parents think they’re entitled to everyone bowing down for them

You can rig up a microphone and a speaker to play slightly delayed and amplified audio if youre petty enough.

Slide a note under the door that says, "I can't hide it anymore, we need to tell your husband"

This is perfecr

How tf does a new baby or a dog even stomp? One can’t even stand and the other has up to three other legs supporting its weight every time it puts a foot down. Are you one of those people who sees everything that they don’t like in their world as some kind of intentional slight committed against them?

Did you forget what subreddit you're in? New babies/toddlers run around. Maybe its the adults running around.
Flux_My_Capacitor@reddit
Toddlers definitely hit the ground with a stomping type force. You can tell who has never been around little kids.

Guy, move. Sorry you don't like people living above you.
RooTheDayMate@reddit
One day when you’re home and they’re not, switch all of their apt with all of yours.
Buy heavy boots.

You need to move.

Keep anonymously reporting them to CPS or whatever equivalent in your area.

If you don't pay utilities...crank up the heat and maybe you'll sweat them out. Probably not, but it is something.
Start learning how to cook. A lovely curry can be quite aromatic. Really into spicy food with lots of pepper.

Just know they have a babyshit dispenser to prank you back with.
Break their family up, fuck the dads.
Piss discs and liquid ass are probably a kit average for a 5 person apartment with a dog, so that won't help.
