Canadian Looking to Move To Europe
Posted by FeelingMango@reddit | expats | View on Reddit | 5 comments
Hi! I'm Canadian (M, 29) and I'm considering moving to Europe. I want to try something new. The cities I'm most seriously considering are Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Berlin. I don't have any friends in those cities.
I'd like to ask for anyone who has lived in either of these cities, how is it socially? Is it easy to make friends? And for anyone who has moved alone to a new city, what have you found the best ways to be to make friends?
Any advice is very appreciated!

Greetings OP!
We have unfortunately removed this post due to rule 4. Your post is either too general or lacks some basic research. If you do not yet have a clear idea of where you are eligible to move, you need to do your research on that before posting here.
If you have general questions, please try to narrow them down to a specific city or subject area. Asking for general advice about an entire country is not going to produce good results.
You can also post on /r/IWantOut for advice, or post again here with a more focused set of criteria such as skills, age, nationality and type of weather you are looking for. The best way to get responses is to be as specific as possible.

Most of cities in the Netherlands are nice. Danish language is very difficult to learn. Berlin and a host of other Germany cities are also nice. Düsseldorf Stuttgart Munich

Do you have EU citizenship? If not, what is your education and work experience? What visa do you plan to get? Do you have job offers in these cities?

And which local languages you're going to learn? Do you have any chance for a visa? Any idea how to settle here in Europe?
You're welcome but you'll face more issues than just finding new friends. That's rather easy compared to getting allowance to live in mentioned countries.
