If you find someone that custom makes frts or binary’s PLEASE fill me in I’ve been looking for something for my M1919a6, and I’m sure there’s a whole bunch of Thompson owners who’d also be happy for it
Same thing happens on YouTube. It's funny to see the kids in their little games. People pretending not to get hit, or crying over full-auto. It's crazy.
There was a video of a professional air team going head to head with like 1 seal. They were all 5 out in a matter of seconds.
Because it's the most underrated marksmanship tool ever. You can easily fire off a thousand rounds without even getting out of bed or spending a penny. Range time is what takes you from shooting competently to shooting better than everyone else. Everyone likes to hate on airsoft but that's only because they don't want to admit their thousands of dollars invested didn't buy them any skills and a 12 year old with a $30 springer can outshoot them and smoke them in cqb. The only way to be an expert is to shoot all day. The only way to do it for free is airsoft. Even if a thousand rounds of 22lr was only $50, that's not sustainable every single day. That's an extra $350 a week in your pocket for the same training. You can shoot while you shit, brush your teeth, get dressed, ect. By the time you find the keys and get dressed to hit the range I've already got 500 bb's down the tube. Even just shooting during commercials is enough to bring you from minute of man at 25 yards down to one hole groups a couple years down the road. Just like doing 5 pushups every hour will make you jacked, firing a mag every hour will make you a dead eye. You get some solid hours behind a springer and you will never struggle to rack anything. You get some solid hours behind a flexy stacky spongy plastic-y heavy airgun trigger then you won't ever struggle with trigger control again. There is no projectile launcher that has ever existed more grip-sensitive than a pellet gun. You spend some hours behind one of those and your grip will always be consistent. Nothing will teach you better breath control than a .40 blowgun and nothing is better for learning Kentucky holdovers and instinctive shooting than a wrist rocket. You can sleep on airsoft, but I hope you never get into a gunfight with someone who didn't. It's a complete game changer that puts you on an entirely different level from guys who buy a box or two of ammo to shoot on the weekend.
Dude, I'm almost double your age, and $20K on a first rifle setup is crazy. This comes from someone who owns dual nods, a Barrett M82A1, and KAC rifles.
Imagine having everything you have now, but you go back in time to when you were born and have to live out your WHOLE life, not being able to buy a gun for 18 years. That's how I feel
My first rifle is gonna be an OOW M1918A3 BAR that I'll have shortened to 15", custom Circassian Walnut Colt Monitor furniture, nickle plating, and an FRT designed for.
Cool way to have guns we otherwise wouldn’t even get to hold a dummy model of, but a good force on force training and way to see if your gear works and you’re in shape enough when you’re actually having to fight instead of tag teens with plastic
My friend group all plays airsoft and my and one of my friends in the group got into airsoft first but want to get into firearms eventually and the other guy in our group is a competitive shooter and works for a gun company and is getting into airsoft from us and all of us plan to use airsoft for both cheap/safe training and just playing and having fun. Don’t knock it till you try it it’s great fun and has great training potential! And it’s a solid way to see if any of your tactical gear is actually setup properly as well
I used to have several airsoft guns I'd play with friends (not particularly nice ones, but still). I'm def trending towards actual firearms as I get older and almost able to buy them, though
I’m trending that way myself but the option to have very cheap training that’s safer and actually allows you to do force on force training is really awesome and it’s also a hella cardio workout. And I just have a lot of fun doing it so there’s that too
Reddit tries to push your feed to stuff they want to you see, it does not take rocket scientist to see why they want to push firearm owners to these place.

Had this happen with a BAR and I got so jealous until I realized

I'm 17 and I'm gonna spend ~$20k on my first rifle, so I'm probably not the best person to speak on that topic lol

You can put that $20K into your entire kit and have a very nice setup. My kit (minus the Barrett since I put it in the photo as a joke) costs about $18K, and that is my DTNVS, a KAC SR15 with a can and an FP Peq15, a Staccato as a handgun, and the rest of my gear. I just think it's a better use of your $20K instead of dumping it all into a single gun, albeit it being a pretty cool one; unless you're some Trust fund kid and $20K is just chump change haha.

Pretty regularly and all day in your house are two different things. Your BAR idea is still silly.

What do airsoft and tampons have in common?
SOUTHPAWMIKE@reddit
I've never read a such a shitty copypasta that I also agree with so truly.

I don't mind airsoft since it is sort of a gateway drug for kids to cultivate their interest in firearms.
Goku_T800@reddit (OP)
My interest cultivated from rap music lol
LilFuniAZNBoi@reddit
It was video games for me, like Counter-Strike. It triggered my autism, and guns became my special interest.

Oof. I like airsoft, but that sub is just yuck

Not what I was seeing. It was mostly people bitching and turning it political.
