hello i recently bought a 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer 1.3 GL, and i was wondering, how do people know which parts will fit?

im new to car customization and for the life of me i couldn't find coilovers that would fit my car, if anyone has any afordable coilover kits i could purchase or find that would be awesome, also any other parts i could make my car awesome! thanks
