ULPT Request: Which life insurance companies in California cover self inflicted deaths?

I have a family history of terminal illness that I might be susceptible to. In the off chance I get to that point I do not want to spend my last few months in hospice care with extreme discomfort.
Which insurance companies cover self inflicted deaths? If so is there a limit to the type of method?

Pekin Insurance does if it is beyond 24 months of when the policy starts.

You can also get a rider policy where if you are diagnosed terminally I'll, they will disperse 1/2 the value of the policy so you can start planning for your death and pay off bills or go on a coke and hooker binge. The remaining half will be paid to the beneficiary

I think Terminal Illness cover is what OP is really looking for. Pays out in full on diagnosis of a terminal illness.

Got to read the fine print. Mine through Pekin only pays half upon diagnosis and the remaining half after death.
Let's assume they did pay in full at diagnosis and the insured used that money to do some alternative therapy and somehow was cured. Does the insured have to pay back the insurance money since they are no longer terminal?

No, atleast not with the policies I used to sell when I worked at a bank 15 years ago.
Once it paid out that was final.
I'm UK though.
WE have products like this: https://www.vitality.co.uk/life-insurance/serious-illness-cover/

I'm in the US, so that may be the difference

Have a friend in the US who collected on a terminal inoperable cancer. She survived (so far fingers crossed). No repayment needed
One exception, of course: if they discover your diagnosis was fraudulent….

Nothing like the old hookers and cocaine rider

If you're gonna go out, go out in style

What is the best company to get a permanent life insurance ? ( not whole life) I already have a term 80
Old_fart5070@reddit
Mutual of Omaha covers exiting through the self-checkout line after one year of premium payments.

If you are diagnosed with a terminal illness then just stockpile your Morphine as required.
Everyone in the medical profession knows what's what including the coroner.
doc_mk@reddit
can you elaborate please?
jenniferwillow@reddit
When you're ready after a difficult illness you take some morphine. Then conveniently forget you already took some and take too much. This leads to an opioid overdose. It is unsurprisingly common, and some nurses will warn families about this if they are administering dosages.

What the heck? I literally googled this today lol. Weird

Insurance companies rarely cover self inflicted deaths. You would need to research very carefully, and most plans would have multiple years between buying and the death between that ethey provide the medicationventually kicking in.
However. If hospice is involved. It sounds like, from your post, this is an off chance. But possible. I am certified in creating plans with patients. Both medical and mental health. Your doctor should be able to give you resources, if not your local hospital should, if not, a local attorney will.
It's a simple document to create. You want no life saving procedures. You want hospice as soon as your illness could lead to death, and you want no further medical intervention.
Once you have in home hospice care, they provide the medications. And in my experience, taking care of my grandmother in the last four months of her life... they understand. And they provide some helpful instructions.

Scrubbing this post would be useful. But I hope things turn around and your okay. I had several times this past year I considered "losing control" of my car on a bridge.

Just make it appear as more of an accident than a purposeful act. Don’t leave notes or make it obvious that it was intentional. Still probably good to get past the two year minimum that is usually required.

No input but hope you’re doing okay.

Northwestern mutual. 2 year waiting period.
Fuzzypecker87@reddit
None if it occurs within 2 years (ymmv). Most all will cover after that period.
