Growing up Xennial. Best late night snack goes to those things that either burned our mouths, or we bit into something semi-frozen. There was no middle ground. Pizza rolls! That concludes our Xennial foodie item list. Thank you to all who participated!

Hot pockets before they became 1/3 the size they used to be.
LilyBitLumpy@reddit
I have a very vivid memory of eating a meatball Hot Pocket at a friend’s house on a Friday in maybe 7th grade but I wasn’t supposed to eat meat on Fridays during lent and my friend could NOT understand what I was talking about and why that made sense so it got me thinking. That was the beginning of the end of any kind of religion in my life, all because of a Hot Pocket and your comment made me think of that lol
Stop_Already@reddit
That’s hilarious.
Hot pockets. The downfall of religion!

I wonder if we are the most pizza-nostalgic generation or if pizza is just appealing to everyone 🤔
The only thing I firmly disagree with is the Viennetta selection!
venk@reddit
This list ended up being more so a list of what people associate with the 80s/90s than a list of the best. An actual best list probably would have had Coke as the best beverage.
505whodat@reddit
Book-It and TMNT fostered my love for pizza from an early age for sure.
ChutneyRiggins@reddit
I remember when I finally talked my mom into buying a Viennetta. I was so disappointed when I finally tasted it!
caramelpupcorn@reddit
Do you remember what made it disappointing? As an adult, I always imagined it would be less ice creamy and more whipped creamy, this less sweet but also less satisfying.
ChutneyRiggins@reddit
It didn’t taste like anything!
caramelpupcorn@reddit
Why am I not surprised? 😂 That sucks!
_meestir_@reddit
What a terrible list lol
NoneOfThisMatters_XO@reddit
My mom wouldn’t buy me ecto coolers cuz she said it was all sugar 🥲
11229988B@reddit
I had it a couple times but was usually told no same with pop. But.... Always had kool aid. Lol
Scarbarella@reddit
I was only allowed 100% real fruit juice not this stuff
NoneOfThisMatters_XO@reddit
Yep same here
caramelpupcorn@reddit
She was right but that's what made it great!

This is why I love this sub

list is irrelevant, since doritos did not make the list.
Amibeaux@reddit
No Jello pudding pops? Come on!
Pogokat@reddit
I don’t think I ate a vegetable or real fruit until college in 2000
DaddyHEARTDiaper@reddit
Same. I got to college and all of the sudden started craving Broccoli and Cauliflower. I guess my body was like "enough dude, give me some healthy food."
fromthedarqwaves@reddit
I ate peas as a kid and promptly threw them up into my hand. I didn’t eat peas again until my 30s.
lavasca@reddit
You’re going to make me take some of my husband’s Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
Taskerst@reddit
My Gen X is leaking, because there are 4 things here that I’ve never even eaten.
BulimicMosquitos@reddit
Still not over Handi-Snacks and Vinnetta winning their respective categories.
OmegaRainicorn@reddit
I can’t get behind Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Everything else is accurate imo.

"You up with A1C?" "Yeah you know me!" "You up with A1C?!" "Yeah you know me!"
thejaytheory@reddit
Aw man, I want more hehe...but this was fun!
LilyBitLumpy@reddit
This was super fun, u/smcg_az!! Thanks for asking the important questions and keeping score
Vegaprime@reddit
We adapted. Cheese blow out of the sides. That's gonna need to cool but oh great now there's nothing but room temperature shells left.
fromthedarqwaves@reddit
I missed the best snack one. There’s no way shark bites should have lost.
Pogokat@reddit
Chef boyardee is missing from this list, I never had that cake, and I couldn’t really taste any of this thanks to my mom chain smoking Carltons in the kitchen, but otherwise looks like my 80’s childhood
grandpa5000@reddit
This is pretty accurate,
Best snack, those cheezy crackers where pretty standard, but gimme those fruit roll ups any day.
Best Lunch item, Gotta be String cheese
I only had the vienna ice cream cake once or twice. So i’d have to swap out TCBY frozen yogurt or sherbert or push up pops.
Mother_Echo4502@reddit
I agree with most of these. But a Fluffernutter is 1000× better than PB&J!! I will die on this hill!!!
exitlevelposition@reddit
I agree but fluffernutter was more regional. Having moved to TX, I have to order fluff from Amazon
supergooduser@reddit
This whole list hits so hard
Suspicious_Clock_607@reddit
Best hot lunch was the hot ham and cheese. Then pizza
AlekHidell1122@reddit
SubstantialDog9170@reddit
This is so accurate hurts
Metzger4Sheriff@reddit
Looking at the results all together, I'm not sure how Handi Snacks beat out Pizza Combos.
ChutneyRiggins@reddit
We really ate a ton of sugar, didn’t we?
caramelpupcorn@reddit
We had a healthy dose of oily cheese to balance things out. Looks like our fiber intake was pretty awful though.

JMurph3313@reddit
lmao absolutely xennial that pizza is 1/3 of this list (and probably nominated for every spot)
rmsand@reddit
Agree with everything but the desert. Vienetta was not very good, did not live up to the hype of the commercials.
join-the-line@reddit
Outside of best dessert, I approve t this list! 🫡
AeonFluxIncapacitaor@reddit
Plinkett approves
SaxyLady251@reddit
All of these! Yessss
