Hi, my car’s rear view mirror has 2 LEDs and 2 three pole switches. From what I understand, one is ground, one is 12v constant and one is a replay so the lights come on when the door is open and closed etc.

I am trying to recreate this as a single led and a single switch but no matter what I do I pop a fuse. I have very little knowledge of electronics so any help would be helpful.
