ULPT REQUEST: How can I get rid of my asshole boss?
Posted by darksadou@reddit | UnethicalLifeProTips | View on Reddit | 55 comments
My boss has a fixation on me. Likes to talk down, is rude, insults, makes me work before I clock in and is extremely unfair as he lets people get away with using the phone or eat while driving dangerous machinery while I am getting on his bad side because he can never be wrong.
BigSquam@reddit
Complete an application for him to join the KKK, use his/your work address and wait for the literature to be delivered. It will cost you a $35 application fee.
nayrwolf@reddit
“Accidentally” use his neighbors address with his name so they think he’s racist.
BigSquam@reddit
If it goes to work word will travel fast.
Squirrel_Works@reddit
Fuck his dad
meddit_rod@reddit
My thumb was covering the word "boss" on a new line.
IHaveBoneWorms@reddit
Talk to a union organizer you likely aren’t the only person that hates him. It’ll make his life hell and you get legal protections while pissing him off.

Does this boss have a window office?
Substantial-Ant-9183@reddit
Msg his wife anonymously and asked her to tell her husband to stop fucking your wife. He can never prove he didn't do anything and the idea will never leave her head. The relationship will never be the same
Zestyclose_Series_86@reddit
Lol I read this in my head as M S G. Like the seasoning and quickly my a.d.d brain went on a tanget of why would you give his wife msg? Can she not cook, how does that harm his boss by giving her seasonig 😅😅
LucDA1@reddit
Give her msg. Her food suddenly tastes a lot better. Boss becomes suspicious, how did she learn so quickly? Is she cheating on me?
Wife finds out, trust is gone. They split up, the divorce takes a while.
Boss goes through a mid-life crisis. Buys a corvette, raybans and a timeshare in Puerto Rico. Sleeps with the receptionist at his job. Turns out she is an apprentice from school. He gets jailed for statutory r***.
Prisoners find out what he's in for. Gets beaten daily. Life is too difficult, drowns in the toilet.
That's how.
Naughteus_Maximus@reddit
Even better, personalise it. If OP knows the guy's work schedule, and there are any away trips, late night working - send flowers or letters to his home, referring to what an amazing time you had on that day etc.
GaviJaMain@reddit
Send that to the news
TrhwWaya@reddit
You dont, thats life, learn to change jobs, change your mindset or keep your head down.
People dont leave jobs, they leave bosses, been that way forever.
TrhwWaya@reddit
Its unethical to tell you to suck it up because life isnt fair, work life is double unfair. Its the norm.
KobeOnKush@reddit
Quit. If that’s not an option, document everything he makes you do off the clock, and get coworkers to corroborate the documentation. BUT only coworkers that you trust!
blanczak@reddit
Call ICE and have him deported to a Salvadoran prison.
darksadou@reddit (OP)
He’s most likely a citizen
ohmyzachary@reddit
You haven’t heard? That doesn’t matter anymore lol
darksadou@reddit (OP)
I know, but it would be submitting wrongful info to a 3 letter agency, lol I dont mess with those
Heavy72@reddit
Try a 4 letter agency then... OSHA would love to hear about all the wrongdoings going on on site, maybe even some made up ones. They'll come in and shit all over that jobsite.
Toledojoe@reddit
Do it anonymously from a burner phone
sumthingnyce@reddit
That doesn't matter anymore
Most_Tax_2404@reddit
Do the fight club scene. Beat the shit out of yourself in his office then rub your bloody face all over his clothes.

Say he groped you
Iwouldntifiwereme@reddit
Being forced to work off the clock is theft of wages. If HR won't do anything, there are lots of lawyers who will.
northernpikeman@reddit
Op has power on this issue of working early. Show up at the exact start time. Wait in your car if you have to. He can't demand that you are early, just don't be late.
Ok-Respond-9007@reddit
Regardless, if he makes you work before clocking in (assuming they are an hourly employee), it's illegal.
darksadou@reddit (OP)
Thank youu
Iwouldntifiwereme@reddit
You could call your state's dept. Of labor and report them, but a lawyer might get things moving faster, and will more likely get him fired. Don't put up with it!
OldERnurse1964@reddit
Shovel and 100lbs of quicklime Or see if he wants to visit a pig farm.
Ok-Respond-9007@reddit
If you're in the US, contact the labor board. Making you work before your shift starts is illegal.
wickedlees@reddit
How has no one mentioned piss disk?
byteme4188@reddit
Force the companies hand with a lawsuit. Making you work before clocking in illegal and also insulting you makes a hostile work environment.
Contact the department of labor and bring charges against the company and manager. Watch how fast they get rid of him to try and prevent the suit.
lewisnwkc@reddit
Are you feeling uncomfortable? Do you feel awkward? Wish what just happened wouldn't have happened? If you feel those feelings, and the boss just feels fine, then it's time for you to start creating a reason for you to feel those feelings.
You should rise to it, face the issues, clearly identify when things happen and call it out to the boss when it happens. That way, you can still feel uncomfortable, awkward, and wish what just happened wouldn't have happened but this time it will be through your own choice and strength to make those feelings. Instead of just taking it over and over for no reason... Become the reason. Suddenly you will feel in control and face the truth that things can change thanks to your efforts.
Right now, you're not doing anything and it's still happening, so change and do something. The worst thing to happen is that nothing changes, but the best thing to happen is that you made the effort to change it.
You can't grow without change. Yea it will be hard because that's not how you are, but how you are is clearly being disrespected, so become the change and fuck them over for a reason until they know you're wanting to be treated fairly.
k0binator@reddit
Lol 😂
Becaus789@reddit
This is some AI bullshit
k0binator@reddit
For sure, straight up word vomit, literally nothing actionable 😂😂😂

Department of labor complaint
GhostWalker134@reddit
Misread that as your Asshole's boss and thought we were about to help you find a new Dom.
PabloFive@reddit
Distribute their resume.
Chaos-1313@reddit
You can't get rid of it pal. That's required equipment.
darksadou@reddit (OP)
Hahahaha took me a few reads of my title to understand this
Chaos-1313@reddit
After reading the details, there's one complaint that's not like the others. Making you work before you clock in is actually illegal. Start logging every time this happens and when you have a good solid list, take it to an employment law attorney and/or try to figure out how to report it to the federal department of labor (assuming it still exists).
your_moms_apron@reddit
Film and report to osha.
darksadou@reddit (OP)
The whole station is filled with cameras to the brim. Would reporting to osha need me to record or could they ask for footage?
your_moms_apron@reddit
No but the company may “accidentally” delete to avoid fines. Also n is thus makes you a whistleblower
earth_west_420@reddit
Labor board.
Document every single task you are "required" to do off the clock and how long it takes you to do it. If it's multiple times a week just document it for a couple weeks. Your state's labor board will be all over it.
darksadou@reddit (OP)
Thank you 🙏
disgruntled_joe@reddit
HR will always take management's side unless they're doing something that can bring on serious legal trouble. Being a general asshole doesn't fit the bill and good luck hiring a lawyer to prove preferential treatment. Find another job, your mental anguish isn't worth it.
darksadou@reddit (OP)
This seems the more reasonable answer so far lol
riiil@reddit
Quit your job.
Live-Motor-4000@reddit
100% - but get a new one first and if your current mob have an exit interview, spill the beans on your boss in that
ivebeencloned@reddit
I would modify that. Some crooks call your reference back and vandalize the new job.
Wait a couple of months and send an anonymous letter, not to HR, but to accounting with a list of employees and turnover dates, proving that all of those new hires, resulting from boss's bad behavior, are costing the company money.
Then send the letter to the sales departments of the company's competitors, pointing out in these copies that this much turnover leads to mistakes that ultimately injure their prized customers.
