The 1967 OSI-Ford 20 M TS: A largely forgotten handbuilt V-6 beauty based on the Ford Taunus. Only 870 were built.

Had the opportunity of buying one in the late 1990's for about 2000 euro's in today's money. Nobody knew what they were, the seller got confused between the ISO and OSI- brand when he bought it and when he found out it was based on a ford he sold it to me. I sold it a while later to a member of the ford taunus club. Should have kept it.

The only one I've seen was a rusty one I found laying in a scrapyard in Gas City, Indiana, which was later sent to the crusher. I took photos and shared it with restoration shops in Northeast Indiana but nobody would take it on, as the shock towers were gone.
I still think it could have been saved, and should have been.
They're fantastic cars.
I still have the badge, which I pried off the car, but still...

u/Maynard078 , none of the cars you're posting are weird, they're all good looking!

Well, they ain't no Trabants, but I'm getting to those before too long.

What a lousy picture - it doesn't even give you an idea of what it really is. They're actually pretty sexy.

250 GT hood scoop, Fiat Dino Spider grille, and yet from the side it's a 2nd gen Corvair.
Not bad though.

There were two of those standing in the backyard of our little German village about 40 years ago. Then they were gone, nobody knows where.
I spoke to one owner last year in the Schwarzwald. I dared to ask him about what I had read about the windscreen. Turns out there's not one left in the world indeed .... 😞
The last batch specially produced (five pieces? Each one priced like its weight in cocaïne, of course) was in the 90s iirc.
Beautiful cars though! 😊

Almost looks like a Lancia Flavia Coupé
Maynard078@reddit (OP)
As pretty as a Flavia may be, its styling doesn't hold a candle to the OSI. All that said, the underpinnings of an OSI are pure Ford Taunus lightly tweaked, so they're no Lancias.
NocturnalPermission@reddit
Never heard of this. Kept reading “Taunus” as “Taurus” though and that made NO sense!
Zakmackraken@reddit
Good looking car.
Maynard078@reddit (OP)
One of the all-time greats IMHO, but they're thin on the ground. The only one I've seen in the flesh was in a scrapyard in Gas City, Indiana. Go figure.
Zakmackraken@reddit
Yeah I just looked at more photos and if anything it’s even better looking from other angles. A classic 60’s GT - and I never heard of it! Get it serviced at the local Ford dealer lol.

An absolutely stunning design. Flawless. Even the one I saw, which was completely rotted out, was beautiful. I wish I had had the sense to have dragged it home.
