Best mounting spot for GPS I have found so far.

After 7 years of driving, I don't know why I never thought to mount a GPS up there on the middle visor. For the most part, they are useless so I figured why not. Keeps the windshield free of obstructions and forces me to really double down on my trip planning by inputting all of my stops before I start my day or trip.

I don't like my GPS on the windshield because I can't reach up and modify it while driving. I like using the look ahead feature or adding in truck stops/rest areas enroute

I 3D-printed a mount that fits in my overhead bin on my Kenworth to hold my iPad Pro with its GPS running. Sitting with my head on the headrest I can see all my mirrors and the map without turning my head much at all. Up high is the way to go with sat-nav.

i drive an international and just put a suction cup ram mount in the little cubby there. had to super glue it but meh, it works

That’s where my company puts our cameras

Your company put their cameras on the middle visor?

I always mounted mine in the upper left corner, mounting tape on the magnetic base, that way could grab the actual unit whenever I needed

No way I'd trust the GPS mount that high. Mine falls off all the time when it's sunny out

Zip Ties my friend.

Try to at least memorize 2-3 turns, stops, or whatever. It’s not the old days where you had to know how to read a map but you should at least practice some of those habits of looking ahead of your route.

I have the same Stryker. I love it. My GPS is in the same position as well. I’m running a 2015 389 Pete with a C-15 600 Cat. Good to see other Drivers running the same Setup for radio and GPS.
