So instead of doing the right thing and raising Elora Dannon as their own, Mads and Sorsha just pawned her off on the scullery maid to clean up after their real kids? Man fuck that show.

This is far and away the role I associate him with. I've watched it dozens of times, and anything else no more than once.

Agreed. It’s a family favorite. And now I want to watch it again. One of the few ways, I find, to bring adult siblings together.
Traditional_Entry183@reddit
My wife and I watched it together early in our relationship, and have been using his silly line of "I....feel....better!" To one another for 20 years. It's a fun part of our relationship and he's a part if it in that round about way.

Exactly my thought yesterday when I heard. His was one of the very first movie characters that I can remember seeing as flawed, but ultimately good and heroic. We salute you, Mr. Kilmer.

This is the roll I first think of for Val Kilmer. I loved this film as a kid.
Soil_spirit@reddit (OP)
Me too. I love Willow— a family fave. It’s embedded at the cellular level.

'Out of the way, Peck' is still part of my lexicon. I usually use it when my cat is in the way.

You can’t leave off Tombstone.

These two and Tombstone. Kilmer deserved an Oscar for his role as Doc Holliday

He and Joanne were the origin of my love for the “Enemies to Lovers” trope.
