look at me, see what happens if i don't get my way

Question. Does anyone think that Taiwan would rig their chip production facilities to go up if/when an imminent Chinese occupation happens to make the victory as pyrrhic as possible?
hypersmell@reddit
That's the plan.
abdallha-smith@reddit
Russia on Ukraine
China on Taiwan
Usa on Iran
What’s next in three months ?
NickMeAnotherTime@reddit
Maybe India Pakistan (there's always been tension there)
China +Russia + Iran + North Korea vs Taiwan, usa, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Filipine etc.
WrathPie@reddit
Worth noting that the U.S. has just massively alienated South Korea and Japan with this most recent round of stupid tarrif threats, to the point that China, Japan and South Korea have elected to respond to those tarrifs together as an economic block.
That's a good assessment of what alliances would have been in December of 2024, but the US has been speedrunning global pariah status fast enough that it might break dramatically differently than that if push comes to shove
No_Menu_6533@reddit
Do you really think that the USA has any allies anymore ?
NickMeAnotherTime@reddit
Yeah man of course. Trump will easily be taken down. He is not omnipotent.
No_Menu_6533@reddit
It’s not just trump. The American people also elected the senate and the congress.
For instance, the relationship with Canada is irreversibly broken for generations.
OuterLightness@reddit
Utah vs Missouri
SquirrelyMcNutz@reddit
China vs India is also a decent bet. There's a buncha tension there over water rights.
sole_food_kitchen@reddit
You seen the dam that will make 3 George’s look small
SquirrelyMcNutz@reddit
No, I haven't
I seem to recall some analysis that the amount of water behind 3 Gorges actually altered the spin of the Earth slightly.
sole_food_kitchen@reddit
Yes and they want to make one much bigger. It doesn’t have a name yet officially for the project but it was announced the day they finished the first one and the counties down river are freaking out as obviously it could wipe them out
No_Menu_6533@reddit
North Korea on South Korea
ThatEndingTho@reddit
China, Japan and South Korea on North Korea

More like Israel on Iran and USA on Greenland…
NoIsland23@reddit
Most people here completely forget Saudi Arabia. They have been fighting Iran for many decades now and are half the reason the entire middle east is unstable and teeming with terrorists.
Chogo82@reddit
USA on Greenland. Russia on one of the eastern nato countries. Israel on Syria, more of Lebanon, or Egypt.

Remember folks - a large reason why us primates in this world havnt nuked each other to smithereens is because of are collective economic self interest. We’re going to tariff ourselves into mad max lmao
LaniakeaSeries@reddit
Oh good the collective is at the will of random capitalists making money. That'll turn out great and is super sustainable. /S
deletetemptemp@reddit
It was a happy accident and not initially by design. Enough people were fed and political structures remained stable enough to prop up the world. But when these pillars start to crumble, it’ll be a race to lay claim to as many resources as possible
LaniakeaSeries@reddit
It's by design. You don't colonize the planet while using corporations like the East India trade Co if your goal is to accidentally make some money.
Youre right about one thing though, once those pillars crumble were gonna have capitalist warlords happy for the power vacuum.
And this whole time they told us to take the high road and that kinetic energy wasn't the answer... huh...
Always odd having your slaver beat you with a stick only to have your community turn around and say "well you just gotta take it?! What else can we do?! Work for ourselves?!" Lmao

I'm looking forward to just being a shadow on a concrete wall soon!

I don't believe that the Trump admin would defend Taiwan... if suffering pain to increase self-reliance is the admin's theme, what better "test" than to have to deal with the loss of Taiwan's chip-manufacturing capabilities? Perhaps the only benefit of the this could be avoiding a major war with China and resetting the boiler pressure for a while on WW3.
blackstafflo@reddit
You're an optimist; in a nuclear war, those who die immediately in the first strike would probably be the lucky ones.

China sees their window of opportunity closing when Trump leaves office. Russia has shown them the way to use Trump’s weakness to their advantage.
5553331117@reddit
Well yeah, we are moving all our ships to Iran. They can sense the weakness.
PhDinDildos_Fedoras@reddit
If I were China, I would wait for the US to get itself in to more conflicts globally before going for it.
Felix_Todd@reddit
Hmm but if they think Trump wont react its the best time for them because they have 4 years to get it over. An honestly I dont see Trump doing much against it
IntoTheCommonestAsh@reddit
Right. This recent escalation might be a way of testing the waters. Just check whether the Trump admin even says anything. If they do, dial it back for now, but if they don't...

Donnie isn’t going to do anything. Why would he when he and Musk can get batteries directly from Gyna.
navalseaman@reddit
Is liberation day shared by all the autocracies china into Taiwan, USA into Iran, something over the top in Ukraine by Russia?
farganbastige@reddit
This isn't related to tariffs today, right? Not a - nah.
ArtisticCandy3859@reddit
Seems to be quite a bit more military aircraft active over US lately too. Later into the night than usual. A lot of tankers as well, signaling possibly increased training for inflight refueling.
TIP: Click the “U” toggle in the top to filter view for only active military aircraft.
Australia today/tonight too… Live ADS Flight Exchange Map

The Avalon Airshow was on in Melbourne, Australia over the previous weekend, lots of military aircraft were on display there and have since been repositioning as Avalon is a civilian airport. There were some USAF F-16 and F-22 and some support aircraft that have since relocated to the RAAF Williamtown airbase in NSW and are still there last I heard but I think they are based out of Japan normally and will likely return at some point.
