I’m very sorry to see him go. He was battling cancer and that freaking disease is powerful. I’m glad he is in no pain now. Plan to celebrate his career with visiting a few of his movies over the weekend.

I loved Val 💔 This one hurts. Tombstone is my favorite movie of all time, and his portrayal of Jim Morrison led me down the rabbit hole of my high school obsession with The Doors.

If you haven't watched it, the documentary "Val" is really amazing and made me love and respect him even more.

He was hot as Jim Morrison in the doors movie.

I read the remaining doors members couldn’t tell the difference in his voice and Jim’s in some of the songs. He was perfect for that role.

He really was. I became oddly obsessed with The Doors when I was in 5th grade (1991). I did a science project filming by dog at the time trying to run past her electric fence (and explained how the charged collar worked) to “Break on Through”.

I got an A, likely due to nostalgia and creativity versus explaining how the charges worked in her collar.
