Either everyone gets freedom of speech always or the left just digs more holes for itself every time it unleashes fascism and then wonders why their own fascism comes back to bite them in the butt.

You can't cheer on people getting arrested for memes and then wonder why that same tyranny might be used against you one day.

Nope. Ya'll are interchangeable and work together. Never heard a single liberal or leftist speak up for the bank accounts of truckers were seized with no due process or probable cause.

Or when the left went after Ross Ulbritcht and Kim Dotcom.

Kanye West lost over a billion dollars for speaking up about the topic relevant to this post and he was a leftist. It was the left that refused to defend him and ostracized him.

Jordan Peterson was threatened to lose his professional license if he does not go into a re-education camp after he criticized marxists and compelled speech laws.

And last but not least Peanut the Squirrel was killed by leftists and no one spoke up for him either.

These systems of oppression didn't sprout up overnight. They were cultivated and grown by the left while the left cheered because it was being used on the enemies of the left.

I don’t think your understanding of leftist vs liberals describes the same thing. Although it seems pedantic, there’s real differences. Liberals are mostly gradualist and leftists want more radical change. It doesn’t seem much different, but to many it’s a world of difference.

More to the point, liberals want change as long as they aren’t inconvenienced, the left doesn’t care about those kind things, only results.

In modern history, moving the Democratic Party away from its radical policies of Roosevelt, Johnson, Humphrey and Jackson towards Neoliberals like Clinton, Gore,Obama and Biden brings us to Democrat Party crisis happening today. It’s the Democratic Party vs the Democrats.

No one dropped Peterson taking bolloks and his loss of licence wasn't a free speech issue. At all.

Peterson no longer practiced clinical psychology anyway. His public social media "rhetoric" cost him his licence to treat people as a member of that profession, and also his appeal, where the Supreme Court ruled against.

He lost his own credibility. It's not unusual for any professional to lose their licence when they bring their own professional STANDARDS into disrepute, which is exactly what he did. In the same way that doctors who go waaaay beyond accepted science also lose their right to call themselves General Practitioners.

Not a free speech issue. He ignored professional standards and they were forced to kick him out. Who ... fucking ... cares???
