Accident in personal vehicle

Driving to the first day of work at my new job and i rear ended someone who stopped in the middle of the road to let a home less jay walk across the street what do i do next? Has anyone gone through this i live in California

If you didn't get a ticket then it won't go on your MVR. That being said, 2 of the 3 trucking jobs I've had required everyone to fill out an accident disclosure form once per year.
You should be fine to say nothing until/unless they specifically ask you, and even then it shouldn't be a big deal.

I didnt get a ticket or nothing thankfully just exchanged insurance talked to my union rep said as long as it wasnt like dui or reckless

If you received a citation then hire a lawyer and keep points off your license.

CDL and Employer Notification:
CDL holders must notify their employer(s) within 30 days of any conviction for a state or local motor vehicle traffic control law violation (excluding parking violations).
Personal Vehicle Accidents:
Accidents in your personal vehicle, if they don't involve a traffic violation or occur while on company business, are generally not reportable to your employer.
