Did anyone else love this movie as much as my family did? We rented it at least once a year, for decades. If you haven’t seen it, PLEASE DO. It’s truly beautiful.
Also, it might be the only Disney movie to have several scenes of full-frontal (non-sexual) nudity.

Brian Dennehy "Character actors...who gives a fuck if we're fat!"

Haha…I always think of that whenever I see Brian Dennehy in anything.

This is a great, underrated film. Tiny cast. Amazing cinematography. Somber mood. Brutal realism with a hopeful ending.

Farley Mowat is a treasure, And No Birds Sang is the best war novel I have ever read. Never really thought about his works as a Xennial thing but am happy our generation appreciates him

I LOVED that movie. Read the book! It's even better.

This was one of my favorite movies growing up (I was, and am, a weird little introvert).

The scene of him eating whole mice while laughing and tormenting the panicking ones lives rent-free in my head.

I saw this in the theater as part of a birthday party with a bunch of middle school girls. (The movie we were supposed to see was sold out so the parents just got us tickets for this.) We did not handle certain scenes with maturity
