By 14 my bedroom looked like a dive bar - with beer trays, signs, mugs etc. Thanks for pounding all those beers dad!

Pertinence to GenX - Posts may be removed if they are not pertinent to Generation X in a specific way.
This includes non-specific ramblings, any sort of conspiracy theories that have nothing to do with GenX, or posts about people who happen to be GenX….and that’s it.

I had one too, not sure what age, but I was trying to fit in with the older, cooler kids in our neighborhood. My parents even took me to the largest park in our city and they drove all around just so I could collect discarded unique beer cans to build my collection.

I grew up down the street from three brothers who had a massive beer can collection in the basement of their house. They had a lot of obscure and limited-edition cans that I've haven't seen since. All the walls in the two main rooms down there were lined with beer cans. It was pretty cool.

I started one when I was 14. Probably only accumulated about 60 different cans before I turned 18 and moved out. But, I recently restarted my passion with locally brewed beers. Montana has about 100 breweries (3rd most per capita) and I currently have 75 cans. The artwork on some is fantastic and the beer names are great.

I knew several guys who did this too.
