It’s on Peacock! Let the caftan-ing begin!

As much as I love me some Three's Company, I'm sitting this one out. I'm suffering from streaming service overload. Too many subscriptions with not enough content on each to justify.
tultommy@reddit
It's available for free on multiple streaming platforms. You don't have to pay to watch it. It is worth a rewatch though.
tultommy@reddit
Its funny you posted this. We just started rewatching it for the first time since I was a kid. I thought it would be something cute that we'd watch 3 or 4 of before getting bored of the quaintness. We're now on season 3 and and I'm amazed at how funny this show still is. I mean it could never be made today because the PC police would have a stroke and die but the comedy is still there and it's proof of what a great comedian John Ritter was. I love the Ropers but I'm looking forward to Mr Furley.
Comprehensive_Sir49@reddit
Watched it all the time.
Apart_Appointment_10@reddit
Mr furley was way funnier than roper. Don Knotts! So funny!
Miserable_One_8167@reddit
Man, this show is so bad, it’s like The Simpson’s for old people!
Gotta admit, Larry putting the moves on Roper’s elderly aunt, to help Jack out, was fkn gold😹
Ok-Ear9289@reddit
Let’s all hear what ur idea of a good show is😒🥴
firedmyass@reddit
the idea was fine.
the execution became barely watchable.
Miserable_One_8167@reddit
Oh, please, it had it’s moments. It is somewhat dated, and lacks the controversy it might of had for the time, like alot of those older shows.
MrsByrne80@reddit
Domininay vous! That’s what small me heard instead of “Down at our rendezvous”.
Affectionate_Song_36@reddit (OP)
Me too! 😆
MrsByrne80@reddit
I actually just looked at how I spelled that. It was more like “Dominominay vous”
Affectionate_Song_36@reddit (OP)
I knew what you meant
Spirited-Feed-9927@reddit
What a scrubbed description. The major plot was that he pretended to be gay so it would be ok he lived there. And Gay stereotype jokes were used all over. Right behind the something happens, someone hears a part of it, makes the most absurd conclusion and a whole show is build around it.
jtrades69@reddit
wait, is that how they actually found him? i haven't seen the first episodes in decades
snark_maiden@reddit
It is!

The sexual innuendos were what made the show great
Mindless-Employment@reddit
My mom wouldn't let us watch it because she said it's "not for children." I think it's a symptom of how some of our parents believed we were small adults that she thought a kids at single-digit ages would even comprehend those jokes.

"I'm so rope, they call me Mr. Roper
When the problems arrive, you know I'm the cool coper"
Balrog71@reddit
Some gals I went to school with organize a Roper Romp annually. I am a “bearded Roper”. We get shitfaced with about 30 other people at every bar in town in caftans and wigs like Mrs. Roper. In our defense we usually raise about $1k for local charities
Affectionate_Song_36@reddit (OP)
I want to go to there
Balrog71@reddit
There are Roper Romps set up in cities all over America. Search it up! Good way to meet fun people!
Scrumpilump2000@reddit
Furley is a legend.
Comedywriter1@reddit
Love Don Knotts. The one where Furley and Jack get locked in the freezer together. 😂

Taught me everything I know about picking up chicks.

My mom wore caftans because she loved Mrs. Roper's style. So many caftans. And bamboo shelves like the living room. Her favorite show ever.
Knight_thrasher@reddit
While it’s is nostalgic. I have watched this recently and it doesn’t hold up well.

Team Ropers or team Mr Farley!?!
TobyDaMan8894@reddit
I covet both equally
Ok-Ear9289@reddit
That’s a tougher question than Kirk or Picard

Roads76@reddit
One of my all time favorites, I still watch all the time, all episodes run free on that Pluto streaming service.
cgoldberg@reddit
I still joke about the Regal Beagle like once a week. I have no idea why, but it always cracked me up.
datanerd619@reddit
I just saw this yesterday. I’m so excited. It’s never been on streaming before.
Ike_In_Rochester@reddit
Fucking hijinks.
throw123454321purple@reddit
Joyce DeWitt had to put up with so much crap for the producers on that show.
