AMD K6 WOW
The AMD K6 processor was launched on April 2, 1997. That makes it about 28 years old as of 2025! It was a big deal back in the day, competing with Intel’s Pentium processors while offering strong performance at a lower price Back then
Fresh-Palpitation-72@reddit
BUT CAN IT RUN CRYSIS!!

Keyboard is Logitech. Seem abit recent but still oldies
Fine-Funny6956@reddit

Optimal_Eye_9222@reddit

Kellerkind_Fritz@reddit
Cool to see that specific case.
I have a larger version of it that was modified to contain a Amiga 3000 mainboard. (Elbox Mirage 3000)

Keep it for another 30 years and it'll be worth millions.
rr777@reddit
I'll sell you one for 350.
rr777@reddit
That is a barebones unit. Nothing plugged in except for a Keyboard, mouse, sound and monitor. Bet it was at 640 resolution and that mouse ball needs a cleaning.
frampton2020@reddit
Probably dangerous without gloves and mask
nobody2008@reddit
Is that a VCD player to the right? That might be the real gem.
FAMICOMASTER@reddit
I'm guessing they were smokers in the 00s
seatux@reddit
Its just Malaysia and beige cases, that stuff yellows quickly in our weather. Its why I never understood the trend towards white builds and parts, that all white build is going to be different in a few years time.
lonewalker@reddit
It's the interaction of the flame retardants in plastics with UV over time
FAMICOMASTER@reddit
Unless it's painted!
seatux@reddit
Have to end up retrobrighting the whole PC often to keep its original look, painting isn't going to have the same look.
FAMICOMASTER@reddit
Most of these IBMs were painted from the factory
AgiHidupAgiNgleban@reddit
Does it work
ujah@reddit (OP)
I don't know so not sure, also not found the power cable plus i dont have any tools to check internal parts, perhaps sometimes this year i will check back properly.
YoureGettingTheBelt@reddit
You can used any modern PC power cable, they are the same. Same for monitor.
You dont need any tools to check the internals. Just carefully clean out the dust bunnies and look out for visual damage (blown or bulging capacitors mainly).
Bulgaringon98@reddit
Maybe there's some olf forgotten bitcoin inside brooooooo
MonoMonMono@reddit
Is this mouse an oldie one as well (the one with a metal ball inside)?
Vinylconn@reddit
The desk, bookshelf and the computer all have that retro flavour.
texan01@reddit
I can smell the flavor country from here.
