Polarization created by our first-past-the-post voting system ensures that the only successful parties are coalition parties of squabbling special interests. The fiscally responsible members of the GOP are a minority. They have to convince the other interests to vote their way, typically by trading interests in a process called "logrolling".

They larp off of libertarian values to get votes

The GOP was never true small government. Religious conservatism, intervention, crackdowns on speech, and excessive spending ain’t small government.

Both parties enjoy to their heart's content corruption and theft, then lie to the American public that they're 'fighting' the other party's corruption when in reality they're both in on it. Our national debt goes up the same whether it's a Republican or a Democrat in charge.

They don’t want small government. They want their version of big government.

New group in charge. Spending remains unchanged. They are all corrupt.
