A shop that has lower prices in person than online

Basically every time you try to shop online, the cost is the same as physically in store plus shipping, or even lower than that. This incentivises buying online. What if there was a store that clearly stated on their website and on site that they are cheaper in person? I feel like this could be better for shop owners, cause it could increase impulse buying by exposing people to more inventory and enabling browsing in person. Also people could feel like if they are there already for x, they could also buy y, just because it’s cheaper and they wanted it, but weren’t sure.

Any restaurant on Uber Eats

That’s not a shop per se

A place to go exchange money for goods or services, how is it not a shop
overwhelming_colors@reddit (OP)
Technically yeah, but you go to the „shop” and separately to eat out, restaurant, bar, hairdresser etc… so I meant shop shop. A store. With goods

Harbor freight restricts certain items to instore purchase only.

That’s honestly a pretty cool idea. I love the idea of walking into a store and finding things are cheaper in person. It’s like finding a hidden treasure. Like, you think you're just going to grab your milk and eggs, and then you walk out with a new board game because, hey, it was cheaper than online! Plus, there's something about the excitement of browsing in person again. Like, when you buy online, you're just scrolling through pages and pages… it's not the same as that buzz you get when you navigate through aisles and discover something out of the blue. It's like, “Oh look, I didn’t even know I needed this cactus-shaped lamp, but here we are.” Also, it gives people more reasons to leave the house and interact, which we could all use a little more of after being holed up for so long. Before you know it, you might end up chatting with someone in the candy aisle. Anyway, it sure puts a flip on how we view shopping these days.

Exactly what I’m talking about. You barely browse online. You just go through things you are looking for. At the store you are actually browsing different categories. And cheaper prices would be a good pull.

Not crazy and already exist. It's the blueprint for Big Box Stores, plus they throw in samples and cheap eats.
Sweet_Speech_9054@reddit
So most stores that offer free delivery online?
overwhelming_colors@reddit (OP)
No. Base price is still the same. I’m talking like 20 euro online, 15 in person or smth like that. Many people would probably go physically if they could
coyote_rx@reddit
That’s already a thing. It’s called haggling.
overwhelming_colors@reddit (OP)
That’s not the same thing, cause it’s not a set price and you don’t know it beforehand. Also doesn’t work in big stores.
coyote_rx@reddit
Depends where you are done big stores let you haggle. The world doesn’t all go by how North America operates. As well even in North America, you can still haggle at smaller stores anyways. Especially electronic stores run by mostly middle easterners and Asians. Same with smaller grocery stores. Especially if you pay in cash.

Bro first I’m not in US, second, haggling is again not something like I’m proposing lol.

You mean Microcenter?
GNUr000t@reddit
That's called Walmart.
Giant_War_Sausage@reddit
So… Costco? Their online prices are always higher, albeit because it includes the delivery cost.
