Nissan Division first quarter 2025 highlights:

The rogue being down 31.6% YoY has gotta hurt. Over half of their sales came from the Rogue.
Nonameswhere@reddit
What's going on with Rogue?
zubiaur@reddit
Great question. Are they having supply issues? Because they seem quite competitive, and dare I say, the interior seems nicer than the competitors.
It is a bit of a tough market though, and the rav and crv are crushing it.
c0sm0nautt@reddit
They forgot a cylinder.
Nonameswhere@reddit
Wonder if the 3 cylinder does feel really weird. It does not seem to be under-powered at least on paper.
GodsFavoriteDegen@reddit
A friend of mine has a 2022 with the three cylinder engine. We took it on a 4,000 mile road trip last summer, during which I did a lot of the driving. It doesn't feel any different than a normal car.
MaroonIsBestColor@reddit
I think my fellow Americans don’t understand that 3 cylinders aren’t exactly slow anymore.
1988rx7T2@reddit
The escape and bronco sport have had a 3 cylinder for years
MaroonIsBestColor@reddit
The Corolla GR is a 3 cylinder 300 horsepower monster.
wtfthisisntreddit@reddit
It feels fine, if a little unrefined compared to the old QR25. The issue is that they are having issues with engine failures, ask any Nissan tech. The variable compression tech just sucks, it was mediocre in the 4 cylinder variants in the QX50, US Altima. Even the new QX60 has it and it gets worse or on par mileage with the old V6 with no real horsepower gain. I suspect the pathfinder will get the 4 Cylinder VC turbo also in the near future.
I_amnotanonion@reddit
It doesn’t feel different and actually has a good amount of power (or feels like it does) compared to something like a RAV4
Mnm0602@reddit
Hybrid CRV and RAV4 if I had to guess. People want electric but decide on hybrid in the US because of the depreciation and convenience issues for many people. I bet rental volumes are down too, I think that’s the biggest market for Rogues usually and if they’re tightening up due to economic uncertainty…
Nonameswhere@reddit
Damn impressive.
LetsGoMaureen@reddit
It’s a shit car.
BlueKnight44@reddit
Have you been in one? The interior makes the RAV4 and CRV look pathetic. Driving dynamics are decent too. Having a nissan badge on the front with the CVT history is the only reason Rpgues are not wiping the floor with the Japanese competition. They are a very compelling product.
The Tucson and Trax have better interiors also. I honestly cannot understand why people are buying RAV4's at this point the interiors are so dated and cramped.
LetsGoMaureen@reddit
You’re right. If only people could look pass minor hiccups like exploding CVTs and give Nissan a fair shake.
BlueKnight44@reddit
I don't really see reports of that anymore on models from the last 10 years or so...
leftoutnotmad@reddit
Same my sister Kicks has been good to her. She loves it.
doug_Or@reddit
Yeah, but it didn't get 30% shittier
DaggumTarHeels@reddit
No you just clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
sonrisa_medusa@reddit
I wonder if car rental business is slowing. If people are traveling less and renting less cars that results in less fleet sales.

I mentioned this in the GM thread, it really seems like the Elon effect is benefiting everyone except Tesla lol.
The Leaf didn’t even get any upgrades recently afaik.
TurboSalsa@reddit
TIL Nissan still makes the Leaf.
CarobAffectionate582@reddit
TIL Nissan is still in business.
TurboSalsa@reddit
For now.
Ok-Response-839@reddit
In 2023 they switched the battery chemistry to NMC811, which negates some of the thermal issues. But yeah underneath the infotainment updates, styling tweaks, and new wheels... it's more or less the same car.
Ancient_Persimmon@reddit
Increasing Leaf sales by 1000 units is about a single day of Y sales or 3 days of 3s. Not sure there's much cross-shopping there either.
It's just an artifact of the increasing popularity of EVs in general.
NoFrame99@reddit
April fools!
mkvii1989@reddit
Wow, 2,025 is more cars than I'd have expected them to sell.
ZannX@reddit
Wow, they sold over 2000 Z's.
EddieMcClintock@reddit
I've seen 2 of them in person so far
V8-Turbo-Hybrid@reddit
Kind shame that Versa would be no longer available in America, but it does its best before the model leaving.
