Dude seems awfully afraid to fire the gun.
Not judging of course, just witnessing. Firing such weapon in a closed environment must by an ear-ringing pain by itself, let alone as a untrained person in a warfare scenario.

And the flash hider seems to be modified into some kind of muzzle brake. Doesn't help at all with the muzzle blast.

You can see the first time he comes off the trigger the gun fires several more rounds. I think the unpredictability of firing a machine gun that may or may not run away on you would make anyone a little skittish
septictank84@reddit
Yeah, there is some funny business going on with that trigger for sure.

As an italian with no military background, thus having fired only sporterized (semiauto) weapons, I can barely imagine how that must feel. Especially with a close-to-10kg LMG packing a noticeable kick (Mosins do as well, but I always blamed the bloody awful ergonomics of the stock for that)

Not only that, but he's resting the barrel on the cinderblock after the handguard slides off it. Whatever he's aiming at, I'm sure his shots are no longer landing anywhere close at that point. The barrel harmonics look all jacked up.
Anaxamander57@reddit
He's moving back when he fires because of the recoil so who knows if he has the training or experience to be accurate anyway. Probably they just need someone to shoot in roughly the right direction.

VFG would really come in handy. How come he doesn’t have one? Is he in CA? Is that a fixed freedom week mag?
ConstantCampaign2984@reddit
Is that barrel bent or do I just need to put my glasses on?
morchorchorman@reddit
It’s still a very capable machine gun. Big and bulky by today’s standard but can be effective nonetheless.

Got one I’ve still got to weld together
