Help: Asus ROG XG27ACS 27" monitor white lines at 180Hz

Hi, I recently purchased an Asus ROG XG27ACS monitor. When I set it to 180Hz frequency, sometimes it appears a white horizontal line and then disappears. It keeps appearing just for some milliseconds and then disappears like if the connector was not well-connected or something was wrong with the monitor. I am using DisplayPort cable.
Is this normal? Is it a thing with my Graphics card? Is something with the monitor?
Thanks \^\^

Hello. Was this resolved? I have the same model and the lines were appearing as well. MY CPU is Ryzen 5 5600x and my GPU is 3060 OC ventus (I'm not sure if that's relevant).

Hello, it was partially reaolved. Some videogames may induce to this problem (probably those using some strong anticheat systems or some graphic bugs) as well as setting the refresh rate too high. What worked for me is setting the refresh rate to its "normal" / native refresh rate. At about 120Hz.
I hope this helps.

same thing is happening with me, setting it to 120hz fixes it. should i try to rma it?

I lowered the frequency to its standard freq and it stopped happening. I have noticed that on some games it happens more frequently when on 180Hz.
What does RMA mean?

rma means to send it to repair/replace.
My issue was probably the electrical socket. i switched to another one and the lines disappeared even on 180hz.

What's the Native refresh rate on that monitor? Try running it at that. If not, try a different cord.

Not sure about it but I think it is 120Hz. I tried running at lower rates than 180Hz and for now (still testing) no white lines appear... Thanks

OP I got it working, I used the DP cable that came with the monitor, turned the monitor off and on. its working now. I also installed the driver from the website. Also dont forget the set it to 10bit in the Nvidia Control Panel

I'll try it, thanks for the advice!

I have the same small issue, have you found a solution? I see these white lines mostly in my web-browser after a long gaming session.

go to the monitor's menu > system setup > displayPort stream > set it from 1.4 to 1.2. I've tried this monitor with 2 gpu; an rtx 5070TI and an rtx 2060, and the problem only shows in the 2060, but its solved by changing the displayport setting to 1.2. I'll try again in the 5070 in a few days and see if the problem shows up again

Thanks, I will also try 👍

Just got the same monitor and have the same issues with you OP. Tried using the (1.4)DP cable that came with the monitor and an after market (1.4)DP cable. Couldn't be an issue with my graphics card since before purchasing this monitor I was using a 240hz Alienware 24inch TN Panel 1080p.
Our native resolution is 2560 x 1440p, I can get stable video at 165hz.
