Good options for 2 month staycation

I am an American and also a merchant sailor, when I get off a contract I have absolutely no obligations to go back to work. Since the cost of living in the USA is so high, I plan on living/vacationing in foreign places for 2-3 months in between jobs because it is less expensive even with flights.
Any suggestions for places in Europe for this purpose?

I’ve been looking into Georgia / Albania / Croatia / Romania for less expensive Euro options myself. You get a lot of the same beautiful nature/architecture/rich history for a bit less money. There are expensive pockets in some of those spots (of course) because international tourism is picking up.

Northern Europe won’t be much cheaper. Southern and Eastern Europe and southeastern Europe in particular will be. I personally would start with Greece. It may not be the cheapest, but it has excellent tourist infrastructure, great weather, lots to see.
