This is a type 96, and it sort of looks like a 7.62x39 mag, at least in the first couple pics. Hard to tell but that could be part od the conversion block sticking up behind it.

I wonder how hard it must be to source Japanese cartdriges illegally
KineticTechProjects@reddit
That is almost certainly a 7.62 mag, so it is likely a chinese conversion. The mag looks skinnier than an original 7.7x58

I wonder how often someone described as a warlord in the philipenes actually fires his gun or has people for guns on his behalf. Anyone have my insight? I knew there was an isis insurgency, but not warlords
not_my_real_name404@reddit
Almost all politicians have private militaries or armed groups here.
AngryAlabamian@reddit
Are they all just flexing muscle for political optics? Or do they go at it with each other?
not_my_real_name404@reddit
They mostly use their armed groups to protect themselves from other politicians and just pay someone else to unalive rivals or people that they want gone. Like this https://www.reddit.com/r/Philippines/s/nlQAVJaviw is one of many politician deaths each year.

Iirc Japanese 7.7 mm could work with .303 British or converted into 7.62 NATO with just barrel change
TacTurtle@reddit
.303 is rimmed, 7.7 Jap is not - you may be thinking of .303 powder load data. You use .30-06 family cases to make 7.7 Jap cases (size and trim to length).
TacTurtle@reddit
You can make 7.7 brass using .30-06 family cases with just a trim and resize.
Kalashinator@reddit
They just trade the 99-year old Japanese holdouts for rice and Suntory whisky.

This is the kinda politician I would vote for
Kalashinator@reddit
If "/warlord" can be added to someone's political title, you've failed as a nation with balls.
abundanceofb@reddit
How do I get the designation ‘politician/warlord’
No_Raccoon_7096@reddit
Politicians are warlords with extra steps and perfume and makeup and some philosopher or priest bending truths to make them appear legitimate
locolarue@reddit
fingers guns The stone truth, baby.
spizzlemeister@reddit
politican/warlord is a crazy job description
