Great dealer, have ordered from them several times

The X2 BT is supposed to release 2025 Q1. Is it worth waiting for, and does anyone know when it will be available?
AFlockofTurtles@reddit
What earpro do you currently use? I am considering getting these over waiting for the X2's since the price the vendor is offering is super solid.
BangBang_ImBroke@reddit
Thanks for the link.
I have a set of Peltor Sport Tactical 500's with aftermarket gel caps. They served me well for their intended use - indoor pistol competition (I double up with foamies). However they are a little bulky for shooting precision rifle, which is something I'm just starting to get into. If I'm not careful I will break the seal on my ear when getting a cheek weld. So I'm looking for something that is slimmer profile than my 500's, has some measure of weatherproofing (I don't plan on shooting in the rain but the weather is unpredictable where I live), and has a solid NRR. I don't really care about comms but being able to connect my phone via Bluetooth would be a nice feature so I can listen to music.
$5-600 is a bit steep for me. I could swing it but I'd need to know why I am paying triple the cost of my 500's.
Spare-Bodybuilder-68@reddit
Tbh after helmet mounting my Howard Leights I'm not super impressed. Gonna try these with an ARC adapter and hopefully they work a little better. The HLs just don't seem to clamp well enough even after really torquing the arms to take some shape memory.
$200 out the door for some sordins I'm gonna take the headband off of anyway ain't bad at all.
danjr704@reddit
I recently bought some HL's and gotta say that I am kinda disappointed in them.
I predominantly shoot indoors, and thought they would function better especially compared to just normal harbor freight ear protection + foam ear plugs. They don't seem to manage the gunshots well. I don't know, I was expecting better.
R1ceRocket@reddit
Yeah, indoor ranges don't do well with ear pro - always have to double up with foam and ears and that defeats the purpose of being able to talk. The combination of concussion, echo, and multiple shots fired in an enclosed space makes pointless. My Sordin's and Walkers do amazing outside though.
CanuckTac@reddit (OP)
The “Slim” model has cups that are designed to pop off and mount to ARC adapters, which I also have in stock.
I’ve got some gel cups in stock for your Leights, if that might make a difference.
Spare-Bodybuilder-68@reddit
I saw the slims but the regular textile headband ones were too good to pass up for the price considering I'll end up mounting them anyway.
If there are reasons not to get the regular ones and to pay more for the slims, let me know and we can definitely work on swapping my order out. As long as these will take ARC arms, I'm happy regardless.
Retardidiotloser@reddit
Do u have the sfa sordins
CanuckTac@reddit (OP)
I do, here.. I don’t sell a ton of them (or the Mil AUX) so I bring them in on special order as needed - usually takes about two weeks.
staypissed@reddit
Do you also sell the larger headbands or the neckband conversion kit (if they still sell that)? Would be interested in an SFA version but converted to Neckband or may have to opt just for the neckband.
CanuckTac@reddit (OP)
I can special order the conversion kits, I just ran out of stock in-store.
staypissed@reddit
Awesome - just picked up the neckband Sordins, the SFA cups, and a pair of noizebarriers. Thank you!
Hatereddit701w@reddit
Fuck me, I am glad I checked out this post. I never knew there was a conversion kit for a higher db rating. Gonna be good for my own neckband sordins.
Jimothius@reddit
The product page doesn’t show the extra bits for the modular attenuation; that’s what the SFA is, right? It has a removable block that ups the NRR?
CanuckTac@reddit (OP)
Correct. The muffs themselves are the same under the hood as the Pro-X. The SFA is an extra 1/4”(ish)-thick ring with some dense foam inside that increases the NRR. It can clip in or out as needed.
Jimothius@reddit
They’re just the Pro-X? Or the Slims?
DarkHadouken@reddit
Dealer Fucks! 🤘
Used my Sordins from him this morning at my son’s skeet shooting practice.
AFlockofTurtles@reddit
Agreed, they have been incredible!
Chemical_Procedure@reddit
I can agree. Got mine in quick and they threw in some gels on top of the awesome price.
CanuckTac@reddit (OP)

lennyxiii@reddit
What? All I hear is a high pitched eeeeeeeeeeeeee
AFlockofTurtles@reddit
Been eyeing some Sordins for a minute now and noticed you offer HSA receipts 👀
I currently have a pair of Walker Razors, but I'm curious about the Supreme ProX (Neckband). Would you recommend them as an upgrade? I'll also be adding the gel earpads you sell.
CanuckTac@reddit (OP)
Oh indeed! I wrote a little how-to guideon the insurance dance.
The difference between Walkers and Sordins is really consumer/hobbyist vs professional grade. The audio tone is more sophisticated, and the build quality is far superior. (For me, it’s the build quality that moves the needle, because I’m not gentle on my gear.)
If you end up placing an order, leave me a sweet gun haiku in the notes section, and I’ll send you a free set of gel cups to upgrade your current Walkers too.
AFlockofTurtles@reddit
I'll get to work on it thank you! Did the price for the neckband go up?
CanuckTac@reddit (OP)
Sordin jacked up their MAP prices in January. I noticed this morning I’d not yet updated a couple SKU’s and was out of compliance, so reset the pricing to avoid getting spanked. Sorry about the heart attack - just shoot me a PM and I’ll make sure you’re hooked up properly. I always take care of the Reddit fam.
Electrical-Switch369@reddit
Oh dang, I ordered mine last weekend and I put a haiku but it wasn't gun related, but a meta haiku, lol. Should come in this week (USPS doing things weird and routing it to Florida even though I live in Kansas....) , so I'm hoping it comes with the gel cups!
Jimothius@reddit
Razors are not even in the same league as Sordin’s. At the price difference, it’s an absolute no-brainer.
mv52@reddit
What’s the difference between the textile headband and the standard?
sithanas@reddit
Picked up a set of noizebarriers last sale, they came quickly and I’m thrilled. If you add the comply tips they’re incredible.
bat_man_0_0@reddit
Are they suitable for indoors? I usually use electronic buds and electronic muffs. The tinnitus is a bitch.
CanuckTac@reddit (OP)
23NRR with the silicone tips is the same as most over-ear muffs from Walkers to Comtacs. “Suitable” is probably subjective and situational but most people, with most types of muffs, run this level of NRR protection indoors.
With the comply foam tips (I have some of these too) the NRR increases to 28 which is at the top of what’s available on the market.
bat_man_0_0@reddit
I use Axil XCOR with foam tips (up to 29 dB SNR) under Walker's Ultimate Alpha Quads when I'm doing classes indoors so that I can hear the instructors well but still be protected if I break the seal with a cheek weld or need to itch my ear.
But after three or four hours, my ear canals hurt. Also, a couple of times, I pulled the buds out after one of the foam tips stayed in my ear, and I had to fish it out with tweezers.
I first tried with Axil GS Extreme, and after long sessions, the backs of the tops of my ears hurt because that top wire loop got squeezed in between my ears and eye pro by the muffs.
CanuckTac@reddit (OP)
We’d be getting into a more premium category, but we can chat more about custom-molded electronic plugs if that’d be of any interest. They’re all HSA/FSA eligible, which is absolutely clutch if that’s an option you have available.
It’s a heck of an investment, but they’re honestly sooooo good. I’ve worn my over-ear muffs exactly one time since getting my Phantoms just over two years ago.
bat_man_0_0@reddit
I have thought about it. $1,600 is an enormous jump over Sordins, though. Also, they're only 22 NRR.
I get it though. Hearing loss is a one-way street. My ears are still ringing louder from training on Saturday. I didn't use buds under my new muffs and the SBA3 brace popped my muff up.
What makes them worth the price?
sithanas@reddit
Haven’t tried them indoors, I double up with foamies and electronic over-ears because my ears ring enough already lol
B-rex00@reddit
Which tips fit them, would like to grab some for my noizebarriers.
CanuckTac@reddit (OP)
Otto makes some specifically for the Noizebarriers. I have them in stock.
sithanas@reddit
The “Canal Ear Tips” were the ones I got, the multipack so I could figure out the fit—ended up with the “standard” size.
B-rex00@reddit
Thanks, I’ll grab some, use them on my AirPods they are great.
blitz4x@reddit
Supreme pro X a good combo for a helmet?
CanuckTac@reddit (OP)
The “Slim” model is designed to be compatible. I’ve got the ARC mount adapters in stock as well.
The Neckband model can be run under the helmet, instead of mounting to it.
M16iata@reddit
Do these pair up well with glasses?
I’ve used muffs in the past and it always seems they pinch the arms of my glasses into my head, so I’ve switched to just plugs.
CanuckTac@reddit (OP)
No question. Everyone should be shooting with glasses, so it’s definitely important to consider.
Gel cups make everything better — way more comfortable, a couple extra db of sound reduction, and they fit super nicely over the arms of your glasses. Absolute must-have upgrade even for the cheapest pair of Walkers or Leights.
ComedianAgreeable152@reddit
idk if i’m just having a little internet bottleneck or if there’s a lot of of traffic but their site is running pretty poorly for me right now
CanuckTac@reddit (OP)
Hopefully it’s a lot of traffic 😂 but it’s probably my site. I’m working on a new search functionality under the hood and it’s throttling everything like nuts. Work in progress.
Grand_Cookie@reddit
Is the neckband good for fat heads?
CanuckTac@reddit (OP)
The Neckband will be more forgiving than the regular leather/textile headband models. The “Slim” is actually designed for XL melons (admittedly, the branding is kinda backwards).
Grand_Cookie@reddit
Extra &75 more forgiving or would the neckband be enough? I wear a size 8 hat.
CanuckTac@reddit (OP)
Tell you what, give the neckbands a rip. If they don’t work well for you, you can send em back to me and we’ll trade up to the slims. I’m ~2 weeks out on resupply of neckbands.
FireAndKnives11@reddit
u/CanuckTac What's the backorder ETA on the neckband supreme prox?
CanuckTac@reddit (OP)
Unless something goes tits up, less than two weeks. They’ve already been ordered, just waiting on shipping/customs.
