You wanted it, Rex listened, straight wall MG7s are back! You all know the deal.
Jealous_Chocolate807@reddit
I’m considering ordering this for my grand power stribog sp9A1 and sp9A3S. I want to use it mostly on the sp9A3S because it’s roller delayed and with a 5” barrel it’s kinda made to be run with a can.
It comes with a 1/2 by 28 direct thread mount. I don’t own a can so this might sound like a dumb question but does the suppressor have wrench flats to tighten it down ? I don’t want it to come loose while shooting it. Or do people just hand tighten it ?

Do I need to use the wipe on seg 9mm gen2?
The description from Rex’s site isn’t that great and is missing some info I need to pull the trigger on it.
Hansohn_Brothers@reddit (OP)
You need to use the wipe.
TC_19a@reddit
Womp
Hansohn_Brothers@reddit (OP)
Dang. No need to use a wipe. Stupid spell check.
HarietTubesock@reddit
Use code rex30
Hansohn_Brothers@reddit (OP)
Yes sir, thanks!
NegativeCrab3586@reddit
To puchase this how do I doo the tax stamp?
Hansohn_Brothers@reddit (OP)
If you’re in Virginia and you choose us as your dealer, the NFA tax is added automatically. If aren’t a Virginia resident, or choose another dealer, your dealer will charge you the NFA tax.
redacted_robot@reddit
Off topic but saw you guys have the new sandman x. Have you guys run it on subsonic 300blk AR? Just wondering if that triskelion works as good as ODB/MOB tech.
Hansohn_Brothers@reddit (OP)
I haven’t shot one, but I am looking forward to the TBAC Summit testing this summer.
aznazguy@reddit
Was the old style HUB?
HarietTubesock@reddit
Yes
SN_ChrisBrooks@reddit
My favorite look as well!
3900Ent@reddit
Eww, why the hell did they do that?
badmalinoisbad@reddit
Was decent 9mm can IN ITS TIME, For $350. Does not compare to lithium, F4 or MOAB.
Stamp graveyard.
Hansohn is a OG. my apologies.
RockyDitch@reddit
These work for 9mm and .556?
Looking to get my first suppressor and want something that will work for both.
Hansohn_Brothers@reddit (OP)
Yes, the Rex cans are plenty strong, no issues.
DonArgueWithMe@reddit
Yes, rex doesn't have pressure limits on the sealed cans (the seg h do). I have one in 45 for 44, 300blk, 5.56, and have used with 9mm.
MadMuirder@reddit
Did people really want straight wall again? I preferred the old look bc of the chunky wrench flats, not the straight wall necessarily.
HarietTubesock@reddit
I think they meant getting rid of the taper
MadMuirder@reddit
No, I get that. I'm just saying like out of the two design changes from the old design to the new design, which were smaller wrench flats and the taper, I think the old chonky wrench flats were the more iconic feature.
HarietTubesock@reddit
Right. I agree. I miss that look too. It was flawless
This looks marginally better than a form 1 tube. Like the Home Depot special from the plumbing section
MadMuirder@reddit
Agreed, I like the taper look more than this honestly. The old aesthetic was peak utilitarian design. Chonky, bombproof, useful. The taper is sleek, but a big change from the chongus look of old rex cans.
I assume Rex reintroduced this to say "we brought back the old straight wall" but the real aesthetical features people loved were straight wall with big wrench flats, not just straight wall. Idk. That's my opinion at least.
DonArgueWithMe@reddit
I have the taper had no clue people had strong feelings about taper vs no taper.
horribleatthis1313@reddit
Any idea when you'll be stocking the Rex mg22? Thanks
Hansohn_Brothers@reddit (OP)
No ETA available, sorry.
Death_by_AI@reddit
Is this a good pistol/PDW can? What's a good .45/.40/9mm can that doesn't break the bank? Also looking for a .22 can.
SN_ChrisBrooks@reddit
It’s good for pcc. Comparable to the omega 9k and the r9. Here’s a side by side.

Mrchrisham@reddit
What pcc is that?
SN_ChrisBrooks@reddit
B&T GHM9c with the Glock lower.
Hansohn_Brothers@reddit (OP)
Good PCC/subgun, too big for pistol in my opinion.
smithjr5493@reddit
Man it’s a pretty piece. Anyone able to say how quiet this is compared to an Obsidian 9?
LORDIGBICK@reddit
I think my MG7K is quieter than my O9 long config 🤷🏽♂️
Winnah9000@reddit
Obsidian is quieter in long config, they would be similar in short config. This can is still really good though, especially if you just want something durable for a PCC/PDW build. I have both, I recommend both, but only if the Rex is under 400 (which with code REX30, it is).
MadMuirder@reddit
I don't have this straight walled version, I do have a MG7K and Obsidian 9 though. My rex is the taper version in .358.
They sound about the same on my MP5 and AKV when obsidian is in long config.
Hobbit54321@reddit
Y'all are killing my wallet. I am trying to say no but a big part of me is saying gimme gimme gimme.
ilovegunparts@reddit
I miss the straight wall blast chamber with chunky wrench flats
slammedsam2k@reddit
I picked one of the tapered 358’s up last year during the BOGO 22 deal. Sounds very close to my Wolfman in short config on my ap5. Super happy with it for the price!
