Where can I donate 70 lbs of red potatoes

I had red potatoes delivered to me but they were already sprouting. I don't wanna process all of that but I am guessing some people won't mind using these potatoes in one way or the other. Does anyone know of any kitchen I can donate this to? Or does anyone want to use it for their garden, or whatever else please let me know

Just called. Seems like they don't have an easy way to talk to a human with the automated options but I did leave a voicemail. We'll see

Good luck! Would hate for them to go to waste. Other ideas: the zoo, Heritage Farmstead Museum, DFW gardeners groups on Facebook?

I believe the zoo takes pumpkins in the fall that people are done with, it wouldn’t surprise me if they’d have animals that would eat your potatoes!

They will also come pick up your branches after you have your trees trimmed to give to the animals

Lots of grocery stores have food rescue programs. If the bag has a date they can tell you whether or not they can take it

For anyone wondering, sprouted potatoes are safe to eat, but you have to dig out the sprouted spots with the pointy end of the peeler (that's what it's for), and peel the skin and any greening underneath. If the potato is mushy or the skin is wrinkled then it's too far gone to eat. This is a good time to plant sprouted potatoes if you are into gardening as well. Of the different potatoes I've tried to grow here I've had the best luck with red potatoes.
