Which Mythbuster would've made the best supervillain?

The Mythbusters all worked for years in SFX before using their skillset to go in a different direction. This is basically the same origin story as Mysterio.
If they had decided to switch to a life of crime instead of Mybusting, which Mythbuster do you think would've made the best supervillain?

Jaime especially with the 7up tank
AccomplishedMud110@reddit
Primed to be replaced by grenades?
LGBT-Barbie-Cookout@reddit
Consider it in terms of the evil overlord list.
Adam would pass the evil overlord list as a joke email.
Kari would find cheeky loopholes.
Tori would add insightful additions.
Grant would point at bits that could have a robot do the task.
Jaime would take notes, plan and implement

Give dis person an award ppl.
AccomplishedMud110@reddit
Jamie is the clear answer, other may have created a career out of gunpowder paintings and building sfx sets or dominating robot wars but don't forget that Jamie's robot was banned from robot wars for being too dangerous, he build big without hesitation the tank he wanted for the aircanon was a bomb said so by Adam, explosives and rockets Jamie wants big boom. Also Jamie has a malicious undertone, hitting Adam a slap, with a paintball gun or baseball bat and revolver hand thingy, he always went for broke. Hit where it hurts type thing. And despite not having grant level precision he controlled the first impala rocket and built the 7up thing so it's not like he is challenged, he uses older tech but it gets the work done. And he has a secret weapon, a bucket of lard :)
dragonfett@reddit
Didn't Jaime and Adam build a robot for Robot Wars that wind up eventually being banned because it was too effective/good?
ExcaliburZSH@reddit
I think it was Grant who built it
dragonfett@reddit
Now that you mention it, I think I recall that.
ExcaliburZSH@reddit
I think Adam and Jamie made a different really dangerous robot
Big-Purchase1747@reddit
Blendo
ExcaliburZSH@reddit
Right! Thanks
citrus_sugar@reddit
The soda can shooting vending machine.
ExcaliburZSH@reddit
That too. But I think they made a battle bot
dragonfett@reddit
It wouldn't shock me.
Weeznaz@reddit
Adam or Grant. Jaime is a great scientist for the villain, Tory and Carrie are henchmen at best.
Medium-Interview-465@reddit
Kari in a tight jumpsuit.
JohnnyGat33@reddit
Grant.
FlukeStarbucker1972@reddit
He created Geoff Peterson, the leader of a Robot Skeleton Army. If that’s not the work of a supervillain, I don’t know what is!
MikeWANN@reddit
leader of a GAY Robot Skeleton Army
electricmaster23@reddit
I shudder to think what kind of demonic robot army he would have been able to make.
MangCrescencio@reddit
It's more like he can but chose not to
grimmreapa@reddit
Too much of a nice guy. RIP.
sikesome@reddit
I mean, yeah, he seemed like a nice dude…but there was definitely some “evil genius” in there as well.

My money is on Jamie. I believe he is military trained, organized and very skilled.
DefinitelyADumbass23@reddit
I've never heard of Jamie being prior military
KaleeySun@reddit
Hmm. I remember he and Adam tested a myth about lost in the woods and wandering in circles. Jamie performed better than Adam did, and I thought he said he had some training regarding that sort of thing.
Reading his wiki page it says he is trained in wilderness survival, which probably what I’m remembering. Doesn’t change my answer though!
crimdawgg@reddit
Jamie is also a certified dive master so he's got some core skills for military operation FWIW
ghoulthebraineater@reddit
No, Adam did say that but he was constantly making up backstories for Jamie.
AtreidesOne@reddit
Jamie would be the sort on evil genius who would actually accomplish his plans for world domination workout messing around grandstanding or explaining his plans to the hero. Just... whoa, he quietly took over the world. Huh..
bakhesh@reddit (OP)
Jamie would definitely be more methodical, but Adam could bring his manic Joker-like energy, and be more unpredictable.
Pirate_Lantern@reddit
Definitely Tori
Secret-Ad-7909@reddit
Tori is like the B villain, that the hero is fighting in the opening sequence and maybe causes some trouble later but is ultimately overshadowed by the big bad.
KaleeySun@reddit
I like Adam as the slightly off center developer for the hero. Think Q to James Bond. I love them both.
feuerwehrmann@reddit
If there was ever an American reboot of James Bond, I would cast. Adam as q
Secret-Ad-7909@reddit
We already have that and the “Q” was a drug enthusiast, weaboo, nazi clone.
Bluepilgrim3@reddit
I wouldn’t say Jamie’s an evil genius….
….I’m not sure he’s evil and I’m not sure he’s a genius.
Attican101@reddit
Jaime publicly admitted in a military podcast that he created a super light drone for the army that can stop on a dime, plus some kind of magnetic rolling device for climbing the sides of enemy ships.
Though Grant could probably invent real Terminators and Skynet if he put his mind to it.
murphsmodels@reddit
Last I heard of Jamie, he was working on a remote controlled fireproof tank.
Secret-Ad-7909@reddit
I’m going to choose to believe he’s working on all these different prototypes because the use of Blendo was ruled a war crime.
Attican101@reddit
I found an article about it from 2018, looks like a sweet idea, I hope they are still developing it behind the scenes, for ease of production and then the VR/remote side of things, could save many lives over time.
The podcast I'm thinking of was from around 2020 or 2021, so Jaime may have been working on all these designs for Anduril Industries around the same time, it was founded by the guy who originally created Oculus.
Though last year Jaime was doing semi-Mythbusters style promotion videos for a special steel company in Sweden or Finland, they were pretty short but kind of fun to see him back in that format.

This was the first quote I thought of!
hey_look_its_me@reddit
Tori would be a villain like Doofenschmirtz is a villain and that is why I love his energy. If not Doofenschmirtz then maybe one of the villains in The Tick or The Middleman.
Benjamino5@reddit
Kari. That friendly smile and charisma could easily mask a psychopathic, calculating, evil mastermind. 😆 You’d never suspect her!
Correct_Chocolate528@reddit
I agree with everybody who said Jamie
EarthLoveAR@reddit
Kari. Nobody EVER suspects a woman.
Different-Meal-6314@reddit
RIP Jessi Combs. Fastest woman on 4 wheels. Definitely super villain material.
AxMurderSurvivor@reddit
Damn, Jessica died too?? 😢
snipeytje@reddit
yes, a year before Grant
Different-Meal-6314@reddit
Yeah, I actually found out this morning as well. She was trying to top her land speed record and had an accident.
VendaGoat@reddit
Kari and Tori just off to the side....
Everyone else could be.
Only-Ad5049@reddit
I would have to go with Grant. My thought process...
I have seen the build-offs and Jamie generally won those. HIs methodology was so much better than Adam almost all of the time. He would be my first choice if only he had an evil streak.
The build team never really built the type of devices that would be needed for something like this, and I don't know if Kari or Tori were really right for this part.
Just to fit the super villain motif, maybe Grant knew about the issue that eventually killed him so he dedicated his life to finding a finding a cure, whether it was moral, legal or not. That gives Grant the proper motivation to become a super villain. Having built battle bots he had the skillset needed.
virtualadept@reddit
Jamie.
Sleepdprived@reddit
Off topic, I always wanted to see a zombie film set in California where Jamie and Adam formed two opposing survival camps that compete in the zombie wasteland for resources. Adam's a roving band of mad max raiders with crazy improvised weapons made out of everything, and Jamie's camp in an impenetrable fortress of death traps that use sleek black armor and specifically crafted weapons for strategic strikes on supplies.
_PM_ME_NICE_BOOBS_@reddit
Jamie, no doubt. The man has the style and skills to be Lex luthor if he tried.
shanejayell@reddit
Jamie would straight up build combat mecha.

Jamie Hyneman, aka The Walrus!

Jamie and Grant as an evil team of robot wielding supervillains would be terrifying… Mankind would be enslaved in the span of a week!!
