Dude, using Signal instead of approved, official government channels (mainly so this shit can be viewed by appropriate individuals in Congress and the military, as well as FOIA) IS one of the issues and problems in the Government that needs to be fixed.

It's way worse than the Hillary email scenario, it was an active channel discussing a military attack that in the wrong hands could have hurt the U.S. really bad.

How is a signal chat worse then thousands of emails. Hilary wasn't sharing cooking recipes she wanted to be President and with her in power we would have no doubt got in many wars. I don't trust Tulsi to be better almost every politcian is a disappointment but I would never compare her level of corruption to Hilary Clinton. Tulsi will no doubt give us all many disappointments but this is not it.

A few hours later reporter Goldberg releases screenshots and transcipts of the chat.

This is one part of the exchange:

TULSI: Uh, yes ranking member. My answer yesterday was based on my recollection, uh or the lack thereof of on the details that were posted there. Uh, I was not– and, and... What was shared today reflects the fact that I was not directly involved with that part of the signal chat and replied at the end, uh reflecting the effects –the very brief effects that the national security advisor had shared.

HIMES: So its your testimony that less two weeks ago you were on a signal chat that had all of this information about F-18s and MQ9 reapers and targets on strike, and you in that two week period simply forgot that that was there. That's your testimony?

TULSI: My testimony is I did not recall the exact details of what was included there.

HIMES: That was not your testimony. Your temp testimony was that you were not aware of anything related to weapons packages, targets and timing.

TULSI: Uh, as the testimony yesterday continued on there were further questions uh, related to that. Where I acknowledged there was conversation about weapons uh, and uh, I don't remember the exact wording that I used, but I did not recall the specific details that were included.

I agree with you. While Tulsi is in the position she is now entirely bc of the current admin, what was showcased both in the leaked chat as well as the follow-up defense of it is most unbecoming. Huge gaff and one that requires accountability by the admin to make an example. It seems like no one else knew , but Waltz being the one who opened this chat up like he did should be fired.

Beyond the lying, which is not even the worst part of all of this, I prefer my DNI not to discuss impending plans to attack terrorists, with specific times, dates, and locations, in a chat with civilians in an unsecured app. It Putin was listening in (and he may very well have been, since our ambassador to Russia was included in the chat while he was in the kremlin), it wouldn’t take much to have military equipment in place to attack our planes anywhere en route, for starters. She needs to be fired, this shouldn’t even be a discussion.
