Good job. Keep useful stuff out of the landfill. Hope it serves you well.

Thanks, grinds my gears that this could have been dumped!

Took a very similar unrunning POS and fixed it up and now it's my daily. That motor and frame alone should get you at least $150 if you were to sell.
Controller Battery Throttle ( which should already be on the bike ) and it's brand new.
The one red flag is water damage. Electric motors are kinda indestructible unless for excessive heat and, water.

Nice. Yes it's getting sold I'm thinking around $350, the battery seems good. I've shaken it down and all the gremlins seem to be gone!

Whelp, you certainly shouldn't have much pain in your rear end (tush).

Ha, there are more photos...

Your Dump allows picking? Ours doesnt and im a pro picker!

I wish it did! This was advertised on a local site (like craigslist). I was first to see the ad.

Nice find! Great job on the rehab! Slightly off topic question for the bike mechanics; is it possible to swap out that folding handlebar stem for a static/normal one with maybe some bmx bars?
MrCrankset@reddit
Yes -- it'll almost certainly be a 1 1/8" threadless stem. To use BMX bars you'll want to make sure the bar clamping diameter of the stem is the right size -- 22.2mm is common.
richardrc@reddit
Too early to know how you did. Let us know when you get 500 miles on it and then we will know. Be sure to check for cracking around the folding hinge!

Nice

While it's not the best bike it was fun mending it.
Straight_Finger1776@reddit
the price was right!
DPaignall@reddit (OP)
It was rusty, dirty and broken.
A good clean, a new control switch and battery lock and it's back to working condition!!
FunkyWhiteDude@reddit
So awesome dude! I love little projects like this!
DPaignall@reddit (OP)
Same, I'm looking for more. I laughed when I turned the lights off it engaged the motor on full throttle! Quite a surprise, fortunately I was out of the way!

Awesome! I alwayys look on street corners at night, we're trash gets picked up by the gov. Every Sunday.
Right now I have an old 2018 vanmoof ebike in my studio. The main board's charging port came off, and the steering stem bearings are clapped, and it's very grimey all over!
And previously I saved a Suzuki GS500F and restored it! Did a full engine revision and now it's already sold. Being used to ride in south Africa, untill it dies!
