cinque terre

I’ve searched a ton but still feel overwhelmed trying to find the right place to stay in Cinque Terre. I’d prefer to avoid Airbnb if possible and am looking for a place with a nice view. Ideally, I’d love to stay in one of those brightly colored, stacked buildings right on the water (if that’s possible).
I’d like to stay in Vernazza, Riomaggiore, or Corniglia. If anyone has recommendations for hotels, guesthouses, or other accommodations with great views, I’d really appreciate it!

Booking.com filter 8 out of 10 review score.

This and before booking on the website, check if they have a website of their own. Most of the time (not all the time), you will pay cheaper through the accommodation's website. If for whatever reason, it's cheaper on booking.com, e-mail them if you can get an offer below booking.com website. It's more beneficial to them if you book straight through them opposed to a website that they have to pay for.

Actually, more like 99% of the time it will be more expensive direct. Yes, they benefit from booking direct in some ways, but this savings is not passed on to the customer.

I've had time when it was equal to booking website which is why i mention to email directly if it does happen.

I've traveled abroad 100+ days a year for many years. As I said, it is almost never the case that it is cheaper direct.

We seem to have a different experience, because I've traveled often and never found it was the case. I mean when I check the total amount on Booking vs the website, I usually pay cheaper...let's agree to disagree, maybe you have an entirely different experience, but at the end of the day, my message is to simply whatever option offers you the cheapest price for the same room. No point in arguing over that.
