Where do you go to escape the home office when the sun's shining? I'm searching for a public spot with comfortable seating (benches and tables) where I can work for a few hours. I remember seeing a bench and table setup in Fairfields play park. It was kindda good to be there.
Any hidden gems you'd recommend?

Downstairs in Unity Place near the CMK train station

I tend to mix it up - I work in the garden on nice days over summer, but for a change of scenery I go to Ikea (free coffee on the family card and a working area); Out of Office in the centre; every now and again Unity Place or the library.

Ikea is good but A bit noisy for calls

It's not MK but the bell plantation in towchester also offers free coffee.
Also John Lewis offers a free coffee on their app.

Bradwell village/bradwell abbey. Though the troll bridge is currently being refurbished.

That bridge being ropey as hell adds to its character. I hope they don't make it too safe, I still like to scare my daughter by taking her through there, preferably with good timing of a train.

Can you sit in the hotel reception?
Open-Chart2054@reddit
Yes. They’ve got a long desk with charging points. Also lots of smaller work spaces
dilithium-dreamer@reddit
You can sit in all hotel receptions and bars. They are grat places to take a laptop and work.

Your garden?
mattcosmith@reddit
Not sure why you are being down voted. I work from home and it would be less productive for me to go and work in a cafe. Good for those that can though.
Love being able to open the windows and sit in the garden for lunch when the sun is out.

Can I ask what remote work you do?

Howe park woods there is a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating . Nice walk in the woods to de-stress

Not so much outside but I rely on MK Makerspace / MenInSheds for social aspects of life now

I have opted to just taking breaks and time when I need to seeing as I was forced into home working so my company could save money! Obviously never more than an hour at a time but the days when I felt pressured to be on top of everything or be available to ensure I don't miss anything are long gone, my health should come first so my advice would be just be a bit more selfish. Get out and don't worry about work, if you need 2 lunch breaks a day then do it. If you are like me you did nothing wrong and should not be made to feel like you are in prison. To answer your question of where? Wherever the fudge I want 😂

Campbell park if you live in the city or close by

I'll do a few loops of the Stony Stratford Millfield, and down to Tombs Meadow. If I'm feeling really adventurous, I'll go into the nature reserve.
