I still have an NC6230 which gets used at work from time to time, to program '90s controllers. I bought it new in 2005 - has been a totally reliable, nicely made laptop!

I have its successor model, the Compaq nc6320. Mine's in mint condition and also got a nice looking SXGA+ screen. Unfortunately I just didn't think the 945GM platform with a Core 2 duo T7400 was snappy enough so I don't use it very often. The Compaq 6710b, 6910p and 8710w see more use
