Finally got myself behind the wheel of a truck.

I’ve driven a charter bus for 8 years. It was fun but the unstable hours and pay got old. Feast and famine.

Just started running this old girl on Monday. Really enjoying it so far. I’ve got a ton to learn, but the local work and stable hours make me real happy.

The attached pic of Snowman from Smokey and the Bandit is how this ol girl and her magical loud ass Jake brakes have got me feelin’.

Loving it so far.

I could but I wouldn’t as it’s illegal to run like that and it’d stress the truck frame.

I am more thinking when you are reversing in low grip scenarious and need extra grip. I was running 8x4 Scania with rear liftable and steerable axle and it was possible to lift it at low speeds even fully loaded.

Oh. Yeah I lift em for low speed maneuvers once I’m near the drop and turning and such yeah. They also go all wonky if I backup with them down so they’re raised for that.
