Yeah Knight was okay. .45-.47 cpm was not where it was at though. You’re fortunate to run out west a lot. I primarily ran east. A lot of Ohio, PA, IN. Drove I81 so much through VA I can almost drive it blindfolded. They kept me moving but I’d been much happier if I stayed out west more. I did my time im making easily 60-80k now can only make good money with knight if you go the trainer route
Former trainer with Knight checking in. I miss the people but not the company or the shitty pay. I’m really enjoying Crete so far. Nice bump in pay from Knight and WAY more freight.
I left driving after 30+ years and went back into mechanics. Not surprising I’m a heavy truck diesel mechanic. To the OP, congrats on your beginning journey, save your money and always watch your back. I’ve done more than 30 times your miles accident free, it was the best job i had. Safe trip my friend.
I drove refrigerated for Knight. They mostly kept me East but I also went to California. I had to leave because I was not making enough money to satisfy me. Knight was a great company and they will fly you home in an emergency. They have nice yards with clean facilities. I loved being home 4 days for 2 weeks out. I really miss them. I just wish they paid better.

Me neither, I have no idea. A good portion of my 15 year career has been spent off-road anyway.

Oilfield?

Yes. I've left to go do other things several times but then I come back to it. Reefer life wasn't for me. Dry van wasn't either.

Knight was my first company. Left right at 1 year. Good first company to get experience with, no complaints.
