Anyone feel like the heat from the APU works really well but the AC is trash?

If it's 100+ outside I make sure to turn on the APU AC as soon as I turn the truck off and I draw the curtains to block the sun. That keeps the sleeper nice and cool.

The heating comes (mostly) from the Espar heater and the A/C from the APU only. The old Tripac Thermo King did not use to work very well, but the newer version Tripac Evolution is much better. But it also helps a lot if you cover your windshield and close the sleeper interior curtains. Also keep the sleeper as dark as possible.

I wouldn't know. My A/C tries to give me hypothermia every summer. On low. This is even with new compressor and making sure there's no leaks.

Depending on the apu, there could be an issue with the ac system that doesn’t effect the rest of the unit.

It works just not over 90 degrees outside temp. Meanwhile, the heat works well below freezing

Heat rises and the blower comes out on the floor, doesn't reach up high enough when it's 90 or over 100.

I have a small 12v fan that I use to blow the AC from the vent over onto the bunk.

A guy I work with uses a box fan.

How does that work? I use a fan also but it doesn't make a difference when it's over 100.

Hook a twisty hose to the blower and angle it to your face

I have a cooler that I sit my fan on top of. The AC vent I angle to blow on the fan and the fan blows directly on me and the bed.

Might want to clean your bunk air filter too. If you've got too much funk in there it might be reducing air flow a bit.

Same I bought a high powered carpet drying fan for my truck it’s overkill but I love it and keeps the wind like a hurricane during summer 🤣
