I-70

Who tf let Lightning McQueen pave I-70 through Indiana?? Doesn’t matter which side either. East bound, West bound they both suck. Whoever is in charge of Indiana roads needs to move tf on and find a new career.
Artistic_Alfalfa_860@reddit
Glad I'm not the only one upset by this. The only stretch of road I can think of that's near as bad is i40 through all of NM and AZ
Tasty_Lead_Paint@reddit
I’m from Oklahoma and our roads get plenty of shit but I swear I-40 gets worse and a worse the further west you go. NM and especially AZ seem to be the worst until you get to the vast nothingness in CA
Roughrdr@reddit
Least they fixed a stretch of 35 coming out of Kansas into Oklahoma. Used to be horrid how bad it was.
Artistic_Alfalfa_860@reddit
Oklahoma roads are okay, it's your speed trap fetish that I hate.
Tasty_Lead_Paint@reddit
Speed traps are a racket
Emergency_Ad1152@reddit
I don’t know if you’ve been back to I-40 but most of it has been repaved. Construction traffic has been a pain though.
Artistic_Alfalfa_860@reddit
I'm about to be in a few days. Can't wait.
BidenFedayeen@reddit
Those two and I-72 entering Mississippi are the three worst routes I've been on so far.
UOLZEPHYR@reddit
I70. I40 nm and AZ (but I think AZ is worse, especially at the west end weigh station)
I20 Mississippi from vicksburg all the way through Jackson. So many potential holes and shit roads my refrigerator door wouldn't stay closed
BidenFedayeen@reddit
I remember some shit roads in Mississippi around that area. I made the mistake of forgetting to put my bungee cord back on my refrigerator. Never again.
Riyeko@reddit
us78 aka i22nis horrific through the lot lizard walkway by that Loves that nobody respectable is ever found at.
Puzzleheaded_Pea_753@reddit
It's been 11 years since I first drove through Indiana and I can still remember thinking, 'But this is a toll road, it's supposed to have extra money for maintenance!'
USS_peepee@reddit
Take US 40 instead.

Welcome to the great state of Indiana, then. It doesn't get better.
MrShorty42@reddit
Can confirm it never gets better
UOLZEPHYR@reddit
The best thing about Indiana - is leaving Indiana
myfirstgold@reddit
Until you drive into Michigan and start looking at Indiana roads as an actual blessing from God and start missing what you had.
UOLZEPHYR@reddit
I never had a bad trip to MI except for battle creek area and US23
Suge_White_619@reddit
Bingo
Riyeko@reddit
I put my back out on i70 a few months ago going from Ohio into Indiana.
Don't worry. The roads get worse in some places.
koryx1@reddit
Did a run through it recently, absolutely hated it
fordry@reddit
I slow down. I encourage all other truckers to as well. Why rip up the truck of they won't take care of the road? And if all the trucks are doing well under the speed limit maybe it will piss everybody off enough that they'll actually do something about it.
Sharp-Subject-6192@reddit (OP)
yeah i was cruising at 50-55. I could sense the anger behind me lmaoooo
Fuzzy1598@reddit
Uncontrolled rage entering Indiana and happy to leave.

"Pure Michigan"
FUCK!
Dense-Ad-7590@reddit
homie should go through any hwy in arizona
RKK-Crimsonjade@reddit
I remember I 65 getting paved. 1978 sat in traffic with my mom and dad waiting on the state to repair the road.
genosx71@reddit
The granny lane is MAD fucked up too. Hammer lane be smooth
Puzzleheaded-Hat5803@reddit
And it's a toll road... obviously those tolls don't go to maintaining it 🙄
Riyeko@reddit
I70 in Indiana and Ohio aren't toll roads
Puzzleheaded-Hat5803@reddit
I was thinking of the 80 lol 😆
StandForAChange@reddit
You thinking of i80?
Puzzleheaded-Hat5803@reddit
Nah the 70 thru indiana
Virtchoo@reddit
You know, I kept trying to find ways around 30. It’s a nice road, but between the Illinois border and Fort Wayne there are so many stop lights. Tried 70 once. Once. Never again if I don’t need to.
Wonderful_County8169@reddit
Welp indiana is another Michigan… like for like!
StandForAChange@reddit
Yep, it’s awful. Once you hit the “welcome to Indiana sign” going westbound you better get in that left lane if you can…dont sit in it too long or you might have a cop flash his lights at you to get the fuck over. Quite annoying.
Elodins_Haven@reddit
They could have just saved money and not put the “welcome sign”. You know the minute you hit Indiana
KarmicEQ@reddit
I think I've caught air on that one.
StandForAChange@reddit
It’s my almost daily route but usually after midnight I come back so I can get away with a long time in the left lane… although that lane is becoming shit too.
FreeAndRedeemed@reddit
That immediate huge bump west bound is comically awful.
xccoach4ever@reddit
That 1st one westbound damn near throws you out of your seat.
kennyj943@reddit
I Think I-20/ I-59 Mississippi Is Worse
Drzzit666@reddit
You people evidently weren't around years ago. Arkansas was like driving on a washboard from one end to the other on I-55, I-40 and I-30. It would loosen your teeth it was so rough
Twisty12223@reddit
Indiana. Makes you glad to see Ohio.
Junior-Credit2685@reddit
Ugh ugh ugh almost there! Hold boobs until the sign!! Fuck! My drink fell outta the cup holder again!! At least I’m in Ohio now so I can lean over and pick it up!
Riyeko@reddit
Without ending up in the ditch because the roads yanking you all over kingdom come
hard-of-haring@reddit
Not for the road conditions
Princess_Wensicia@reddit
And here’s our weekly bitching post about Indiana’s roads!
You’re right, mate. It is horrendous. I blew an air bag on these roads, shattered a TV and a coccyx. I hate it.
stankneggs74@reddit
The best part about driving a truck in Indiana. It's mostly wide open. The worst part besides the 4wheelers, I65, and Indy; you have to drive on their roads.
Embarrassed-Spread87@reddit
I guess none of you have driven in California?? ALL The roads SUCK!! It’s unbelievable how someone could’ve actually been paid to lay some of the roads around here!!
Embarrassed-Spread87@reddit

Extension_Note_7598@reddit
Truckers should be allowed to charge Indiana for having to use its bad roads….no sleeping and definitely damaging to the truck. Went through last week hauling a 40,000 lb trailer of class 1 explosives praying the potholes and mega bumps wouldn’t set off a light show.
OrganizationNo6167@reddit
Doing suicide coils through Indiana got my cheeks clenched

I see your Indiana and raise you Shreveport, LA.
Ecstatic_Kick_6479@reddit
Driving through there caught 2 blowouts trying to run through the construction suckedddd
yak_danielz@reddit
Shreveport is annoying, indiana is straight up dangerous
Sharp-Subject-6192@reddit (OP)
haha haven’t been there yet. Not looking forward to it now tho😂
BidenFedayeen@reddit
Who needs a chiropractor (witch doctor) when you can just drive I-70 leaving or entering Ohio?
Leaf-Stars@reddit
Been that way for several years now.
Creative_Shame3856@reddit
At least since I started driving in 05
yak_danielz@reddit
i have family in Indiana. i go there often. there is at least a 5 min rant about indiana roads as soon as i find a listening ear. i'm convinced it's malicious and i have contacted the state representatives office.
indiana is the only place in the country outside of wyoming where i can bet on the roads being as shitty as they were last time i was on them, no matter how much time has passed.
