Help me build a PC with a 4060 processor; I am not sure if AMD would be better.

I am tired and sick of gaming laptops, and I was very upset with Legion 5. The GPU and BIOS have no idea what happened to it. I intend to purchase a build capable of running AAA games flawlessly. No components will be changed for the next three to four years. Please share your ideas.

The 4060 won't run shit at 1440p med-ultra settings at over 100fps unless it's e-sports or old games, but it's pretty solid at 1080p, so forget about 1440p and also forget about ray/path-tracing. Also, since it isn't a very powerful gpu and only has 8gb of Vram, then it won't be able to play the latest AAA games for very long and it even struggles on a few AAA games at 1080p high/ultra now but it's only a few so don't worry for now. For the rest of the build, set a budget and get the best parts within that budget but if your getting AMD cpu then go for AM5, it will cost $400 minimum for mobo, ram and cpu but you'll regret going AM4.

So you think 4060 1440 gaming is impossible? So what should I get, man 4070?

It's not impossible. You will just have to lower graphics settings a lot or only play sports and older games, which isn't what you said you wanted to play. A 4070 is good for 1440p but not at 100fps+ at max settings so if that's what you want then get a 4070 ti super but if your fine with 60fps on AAA games then the 4070 will do very well. If you aren't using your PC for video editing, 3d rendering, game development, etc. and also don't card about Ray tracing or dlss4 then a 7800 xt is the same price as a 4070 with slightly better performance and a 7900 gre will give similar performance to a 4070 ti super

I have heard AMD GPUs are bad because of software issues, so I do not trust them. You help me decide Intel build with nvidia Or full amd I am just a gamer, not a developer.

You heard wrong. AMD has no major software issues. People say that because they used to have driver issues, but they haven't had issues for quite some time, so don't worry about it. And your gpu depends entirely on your budget, so I can't recommend one unless you give me a price. Also, the market will be different depending on where you live, so you also have to see what the market is like in your country because if I recommend a 4070 which is around $450 where I live, it might be a lot more expensive for you.

This is heavily dependant on what resolution, what graphical settings, what games and the expected frame rate. If you’re wanting 4k everything maxed out, you’ll be looking to take out a whole mortgage for a 5090. Your expectations will heavily influence what’s necessary, it’s usually better to set a max budget and work off that.

You'll need a 4070 ti super/7900 gre to do the latest AAA game at 140fps 1440p with high/ultra setting and probably even better for Ray tracing

And we talking AAA games like Cyberpunk, Spider Man 2, Call of Duty 6 etc or more like esport titles. 140fps in AAA titles at 1440p, you’ll be looking at minimum 3080/4070 and it won’t be doing 140fps in all titles either with everything cranked to max. Esport titles you could go with a 4060 though.
