Was Bozo’s Circus banned in Texas? I know it came from the Chicago station WGN, but I thought it went country wide after a time.

I doubt it was banned in Texas. We just didn't have it where I lived, but we also didn't have cable TV, and I think WGN was only available to cable subscribers.

I was trying to joke around. I thought Bozo was sold in syndication, but I didn’t look that up. Maybe some stations just didn’t decide to buy it.

No idea who that is. Never watched bozo. Hated Sesame Street. I liked a show called romper room

I liked the buckets with the string toy from there. I didn’t realize like the magic mirror. I kept waiting for my name.

I loved Muffin. And Mr. Peppermint I didn’t forget him. I think he mentioned his son’s “band” lol 😂

*Peppermint Place* was produced out of a local Dallas/Ft. Worth station IIRC, but it was syndicated to different markets, even outside Texas.

I guess we were wealthy, I had Bozo and Mr. Peppermint. Was also a huge Marc Grace and Ryne Sandberg fan for some reason. Weird that I remember more about Cubs players than my Rangers.

He came to my school one year and I actually got on stage and met him.

Loved Mr. Peppermint. Jerry Haynes was also a tremendously nice man - I did some summer stock theater with him. He is also indeed the dad of Gibby Haynes. I also know for a fact that Jerry was very proud of Gibby, as we was of all his kids.

I loved watching Mr. Peppermint as a kid. I haven’t seen any old episodes on YouTube

Nah, Mr. Peppermint is Ginny’s dad. Put some respect on Muffin’s name!
