Oh, but you do. Every time an ad is served. That ad unit is served by an American company. The ad itself will go through a process involving SSPs that are usually American, and exchanges that are usually American, DSPs that are usually American and the ad servers are usually run by Google (GAM) or Amazon (APS). And that's the tip of the ice berg. There are also lots of other people using the data to determine the topic, the user and lots of other factors. And a lot of these are American. Don't think that because you're not physically paying, you're not contributing to the American economy.

Rola Cola is for scrubs. Get My Mum’s and you’ll have 2p left over for a couple of fizzy jelly cola bottles, which are the real secret to success. Just keep them in your mouth until the actual cola breaks them down. If you want to save more money, buy in bulk from the Alpine man - you can decant it into a Coca-Cola bottle for street cred, just be sure not let anyone else have a swig.

They're clueless about taste buds. Just like how for some people Coriander can taste like washing up liquid, some people can taste artificial sweetness. For me most of them taste like someone has rubbed metal inside my mouth. Even bottled water with a 'hint of lemon' is utterly undrinkable for me.

Yeah, I think it must be a certain subset of the general population who absolutely hate the aftertaste from artificial sweetener, I find it completely intolerable, to the point of spitting out diet coke if accidentally given it ( obviously only if the situation allows!), but many friends genuinely can't tell the difference.

Yes, although syrup is what they call the core flavouring. Syrup is actually a much more watered down version used for the draft taps in pubs, restaurant etc They make the concentrate in two parts in different places then ship them here to be watered down and bottled in various plants around the UK, Wakefield, Sidcup etc.

I've actually started getting into 7up I'm not sure why I wasn't allowed it when I was younger but having tried it it's great, from Ireland. Fentemans cola is british. But a bit expensive. Iron bru is not good anymore unless you get the boiled sweets, they have nice cola flavoured boiled sweets. British made, other cola drinks might exist? Hopefully this helps
