Thoughts on the MSI Ventus 5070 Ti?

I'm trying to upgrade my Gigabyte 3070 graphics card this year. I've been keeping a lookout for restocks of the Sapphire Pure 9070 XT as reviews I've come across described the card being virtually silent.
I did manage to place an order for a MSI Ventus 5070 Ti on Amazon for $830 last week. This GPU will be arriving sometime between Late March to Early April.
Reviews for the Ventus appears to be a mixed bag. Despite having better specs and upscaler than the AMD 9070 XT series cards, comments about the Ventus having loud fans as well as a poor cooling design has me concerned.
Is the MSI Ventus 5070 Ti truly a bad card to get? Would undervolting the GPU and adjusting the fan curves mitigate the noises significantly?
I would like to gather feedback on the MSI Ventus 5070 Ti before I make a decision on whether or not to cancel/return my order and go back searching for a Sapphire Pure 9070 XT or any other RTX 5070 Ti models to buy.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm planning on returning my MSI Ventus 5070 Ti and keeping a lookout for other 5070 Ti models that offers better cooling.

The availability is quite good now. You can get a Eagle at 900 or even better ones around $1000. The question is whether the better cooling worth the extra.
If you want to get one with better cooling below 900, the chance is really low.

I’ll just tune it myself for that much more. I didn’t like 830 I spent to begin with. 😂

I'm in the same boat, I have a Ventus on order but thinking of getting the gigabyte

Hey man, im all about you going forward and thinking about buying a new card, but don't go Gigabyte! Read what happened to me here, it was awful. Go anywhere else.

I have a Ventus 3x OC 5070ti and the noise isn’t any loader than my other case fans. That being said I have an Antec Flux Pro case which has ample cooling.
While playing games in 4k my temp stays around 66°-70° with the fans on auto around 40% load.
If you were going for an SFF build, I would not recommend the card. After 50% fan power it does become fairly loud. I’ve only ever experienced this while running benchmarks.

It's fine with a fan curve, but I'm considering switching to closed back headphones. My 4070 was silent with a fan curve, but I can still hear this one even with a fan curve. I'm also looking around for better models while my return window is still open.

Coming from an ASUS TUF 3000 series card, this is not as weel-made. It isn't particularly loud (my 6950XT and 7900XT were both louder), but it does run hotter than other Nvidia cards I have had. Just undervolt it with a small overclock and you'll get comparable performance to stock but a cooler card using only 240w of power.

Great wee card, I'm running with a +350mhz core and +2000 mhz memory and temps sit at 65 max and never crashes through all testing with cyberpunk and also furmark

Set and forget an undervolt, fan curve and enjoy the card. MSI overdid it on the original fan curve.

A 800 card with bad thermal solutions, I wouldn’t buy even at Msrp let alone 830.

It is probably the cheapest 5070ti you can get though. The "MSRP" model of Asus and Gigabytes are over 900.

Exactly. Im taking the ventus 3x if i could. I also live in canada so its 1200 vs 1400 lol 200 more for a fancier fan and rgb lights no thanks

I got this card last week and it’s been good! It was a bit loud at first tbh, but since I undervolted it and adjusted the fan curve it has been pretty quiet. The noise is only really noticeable when playing very demanding games now, and the temps stay below 75C. I recommend it, it was a huge upgrade from my 3070 Ti and I don’t think the noise is as big of an issue as people make it seem.
