Dubai: what's the best way to find a job from overseas (I'm an Australian citizen)

Hello, this question is for expats living in Dubai or those who have lived in Dubai. I'm an Australian and Canadian citizen (South Asian background, female if that should matter, which hopefully it shouldn't but you never know).
I want to move to Dubai to be closer to family in a nearby country and earn tax-free income to boost my financial situation. I've 15+ year work background in market research and now I've moved to social policy. I would not like to go back to market research and would strongly prefer jobs in policy & research. I'm also a translator and interpreter but because none of those languages are Arabic, not sure how useful that would be in Dubai.
I'm pretty good at finding employment but I don't know what's the best way to try and get a job in Dubai while in Australia. This isn't urgent - I'd like to move there in a year or so but I want to start gaining clarity on what the pathway to moving to Dubai looks like and getting a job will probably be the most important part of it.
Which websites/portals have the most jobs listed that would appeal to professionals? Is it LinkedIn? Are there other ways you'd suggest getting in touch with the right organisations (and also how do I figure out what the right organisation is)?
Thank you in advance :)

Having some wasta always helps.
Generally soft skills are more valued here than technical skills. I'd suggest building relationships with people here ideally in person.
Otherwise you will need to get headhunted / company transfer which is probably unlikely.
Maybe consider Saudi as well, it is easier to get headhunted in Saudi and pay is generally higher.

Not true at all. The UAE has an easier gateway for expats on work contract in the entirety of the region. Places such as KSA, Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait are a lot more pickier because of legislation from the government.

I have answered a lot of these questions on similar posts on this sub (search through the sub). I'm not in the mood to make a long comment, so I will sum it up this way... The best way is to either get headhunted or have a company transfer; RE: end thread.
